Work on Will Smith’s “Men in Black 3″ has been temporarily halted amid rumors the star clashed with producers about the script.

The movie, which went into preproduction here last month, has been shut down for a second time because of arguments among Smith, director Barry Sonnenfeld and the producers, sources said.

While Sony studio bosses blame the delay on a change in New York state movie incentives, our source said, ” ‘Men in Black 3′ has gone on hiatus again, this time for two weeks, after having shut down for a week and started back up. Smith, Sonnenfeld and the producers have been fighting. The start date for filming had already been put off.”

The disputes are believed to be about the script for the film, which also stars Tommy Lee Jones and will be released in 3-D.

“I Am Legend” star Smith is known for making waves. In March, he reportedly created drama on the set of his wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s TNT show “HawthoRNe.” The cast was given an eight-day hiatus after it was reported that Smith was “inserting his input and requesting so many changes to the script that it pushed back the production schedule tremendously and caused everything to spiral out of control.”

Smith was also recently blasted by his former “Fresh Prince of Bel Air” co-star Janet Hubert, who said in her book, “Perfection Is Not a Sitcom Mom,” that he “had people around him who made sure no one outshone him.”

A Sony Pictures rep told us, “The only reason production will begin in mid-November as opposed to late October is to take advantage of recent changes affecting New York State film incentives. Suggesting that a disagreement triggered the shift is complete fiction.”

Another movie source told us, “Will and Barry have worked together on numerous films and they are friends as well as creative collaborators.”

A rep for Smith didn’t respond to e-mails and calls from the media.

Will Smith’s 9-year-old daughter is an overnight singing sensation, and she’s got Jay-Z to back her.

Willow Smith’s first song, “Whip My Hair,” started making the rounds on the Internet on Tuesday, and has quickly generated some serious buzz.

The head-banging track, which is already being played on New York hip-hop radio station Hot 97, has even triggered some premature comparisons to pop superstar, Rihanna.

“I whip my hair back and forth,” Smith sings on the catchy chorus.

Like Rihanna, Smith is getting a helping hand from Brooklyn rapper Jay-Z, who has reportedly signed her to his label, Roc Nation.

It was Jay-Z who also signed Rihanna while he was president of Def Jam.

Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have already seen their daughter handle the pressures of acting.

She joined her father in “I Am Legend,” and then with her mom in “Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa.”

Her big brother, Jaden, 12, has also flirted with superstardom as an actor and rapper. This year, he starred in “The Karate Kid” and teamed up with Justin Bieber to rap on the song, “Never Say Never.”

The Twitter community also can’t stop talking about Willow Smith.

Beyonce’s sister, Solange, took to Twitter to give the rising singer some props.

“WIllow Smith make me wanna whip some haiiirrr in this house. Ummm kill em girl. Kill em!” she tweeted.

Singer Jazmine Sullivan is also a fan.

She tweeted, “why is “whip my hair” by willow smith my soonnnng. how dare she make me like a 9 year olds music? lolol. love it!!!”

Jackie Chan says “Kung Fu Kid” co-star Jaden Smith’s dedication to martial arts puts his own son to shame.

The 11-year-old son of Hollywood stars Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith has been training under Chan’s stunt co-ordinator for his role in the China Film Group-Columbia Pictures remake of the 1984 hit “The Karate Kid,” which kicked off filming in Beijing on July 11.

In a diary entry on his official Web site, Chan said he was deeply impressed by the younger Smith’s progress when he visited Los Angeles last month.

The veteran Hong Kong action star said Jaden Smith learned the Chinese phrases for different kung fu moves, responded to orders in Mandarin, and treated his teacher, Wu Gang, according to traditional Chinese custom.

“When he was thirsty, he gave the traditional hand gesture, putting one fist into the palm of the other, bowed and asked permission to drink some water,” Chan said.

Chan said Smith even learned the drunken fighter routine he made famous in his 1978 film “Drunken Master.”

“He put my son to shame! I provided my son with the best martial artists in the world, and he could not be persuaded to try it. In just two months, Jaden had learned so much. He is truly a talented boy,” he said, adding he felt Smith was ready to perform his own stunts in “Kung Fu Kid.”

Chan’s son, Jaycee, is a singer and actor but has not followed in his father’s footsteps as an action star.

Chan posted several photos with the diary entry showing him with Jaden Smith and his father.

He said he was skeptical at first of Jaden Smith’s work ethic because he was born into a privileged family.

“Training in martial arts is hard work. It takes years to perfect even one punch or kick. Jaden’s father is a famous celebrity, and Jaden probably knows he could get away without having to work very hard. If I couldn’t get my own son to train in martial arts, how could anybody else succeed?” Chan said.

Chan said he suggested to Will Smith that he send his son to China for a few years of kung fu training, predicting “when he returns, his martial arts will be truly incredible.”

Jaden Smith costarred with his father in the 2006 movie “The Pursuit of Happyness” and appeared in the 2008 Keanu Reeves sci-fi movie “The Day the Earth Stood Still.”

The long rumored rumor that Jaden Smith would be the new Karate Kid in the remake of the hit movie was finally confirmed by Variety. Will Smith will be producing his son in the movie, that will begin filming next year in Bejing and other cities. The more I read the article the more sad I got that they are destroying another franchise. Positive note Jaden takes Martial Arts classes.

Will Smith donated money to the Church of Scientology’s LEAP program in 2006.

Then came lots of talk: Will and Jada hanging out with Tom Cruise, super Scientologist, didn’t help. The Smith kids were also getting home-schooled, which put them in line with Cruise, John Travolta and others.

This year, news broke that Will had funded a school in suburban Los Angeles that used one of Scientology’s study programs. It seemed like Will and Jada were making a statement. But they didn’t actually make a statement.

Monday night, Fox News ran into Mr. and Mrs. Smith at the premiere of “Lakeview Terrace,” which Will has produced with partner James Lassiter. Jada was there, too. And here’s the thing about Will and Jada: they are immensely likable. They are incredibly gracious. Even when Will’s overzealous security guard, the size of the Cleopatra column, attempted to block and neutralize me, Smith intervened quickly.

Fox News heard he’d given a press conference to the group called Anonymous, which protests Scientology.

“Not exactly a press conference, but I did talk to them,” he said. Mind you, Will had just gone to the buffet and was carrying a plate of food. This was up at the swanky new Empire Hotel rooftop following the premiere of “Lakeview,” which stars Samuel L. Jackson and Kerry Washington.

So, what’s the story? Is Will a Scientologist? “I am not,” he said. The school is using one of Scientology’s teaching tools, but Will said, “You can take different parts of things you like and put them all together.”

This is similar to what he told the Anonymous people (who remain, I presume, unknown). In their recent press release, the group said, “We appreciate Will’s interest in our efforts and his openness in speaking with us directly. It shows his concern both as a parent and educator.

“Anonymous is hopeful that NVLA will take the great strides necessary to correct for the deficiencies in Scientology’s Study Tech, or abandon them altogether. We will be keeping an eye on the situation to make sure that NVLA lives up to the goals Will Smith has for it, which include keeping the Church of Scientology out of the classrooms.”

More importantly: Jada wore a short-waisted vintage dress, with the bust covered in a silver mylar sort of thing. It was very cool. She told me she was thrilled “The Women” had made $10 million in its first weekend, since it only cost $16 million. “We’re in the clear whatever happens now,” she said.

Will Smith opens up to Now about the secret to his happy marriage , and open is the key word.

‘Our perspective is, you don’t avoid what’s natural and you’re going to be attracted to people,’ Will explains.‘So sometimes we have the discussion: “Wow, this or that girl is freaking gorgeous”. I’m not going to say anything to my buddies that’s any different than what I say to my wife.’

Both Will Smith and Halle Berry admitted that they bring their movies costume into the bedroom to play, just not with each other according to The Sun!!!

Will Smith admitted that he brought home his Hancock costume home to play with Jada Pinkett-Smith.

“I took the suit home and my wife and I use it sometimes,” he said, “Just around the house. It’s great.”

Will is not the only one, Halle Berry brought home her X-Men Storm costume and puts it to good use.

“Yeah, I wear it sometimes,” said Halle. “You gotta keep your life spiced up.

“Storm never has sex in the movies - but Storm has a lotta sex at my house.”

I wonder why she isn’t using her Catwoman costume, that seems more appropiate. Guess it has bad memories?

After performing a brief medley of hits while hosting the Nelson Mandela 90th birthday party in London on Friday, Smith gave a repeat performance at the Hollywood High School, where the 1978 movie Grease was shot.The former hip-hop partners performed on a stage decorated with wrecked cars and prison cages. Among the hits Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff performed were the theme from TV show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.The highlight of the show came when model-turned-actor Tyrese Gibson joined Smith onstage for a version of Getting’ Jiggy Wit It.
