Here’s Whitney Port hitting South Beach yesterday while taking time off from her Hills spin-off The City.
Whitney and her entire family were at the Dodgers last night as “The City” star threw out the first pitch. A huge Dodgers fan, Whitney blogged “I’m pretty proud of myself…for someone who hasn’t played in quite a few years I think I did pretty well ;)”

Let’s face it “The Hills” wasn’t exactly a real reality show, but it is already starting to look as though Whitney Port’s spin-off “The City” is even more err, scripted.
Port and co-star Olivia Palermo both attended Grey Goose’s Ball for Charity in New York last week where they filmed the highly anticipated MTV show. According to our inside source, every moment the girls weren’t repeating the same scene over and over (which went on for more than two hours) they excitedly stood behind the lens and chatted happily like close friend, despire the fact that they’re portrayed as enemies on the show.
Meanwhile host Adrian Grenier told the audience during the auction that he would do a shot at the bar with every person who pledged $5,000 to fund a water well for the organization. And from what we’re told, the “Entourage” star had quite a few promises to keep …
Grenier will be jetting into Australia next week with his new-wave folk band The Honey Brothers where they are scheduled to perform at numerous high-profile gigs and if his visit Down Under last year is anything to go by, he’ll have plenty of ladies to occupy his time in every city for every different night of the week. The 32-year-old’s ex-girlfriend Isabel Lucas touched down in her homeland last week to spend Christmas with her family and according to a pal, plans to stay well away from Grenier and his groupies.

In this week’s Page Six Magazine – Whitney Port has left The Hills of Los Angeles for The City—her very own NYC reality show. But in her search for love, success and fame, can this bubbly blonde TV star be the next Carrie Bradshaw?
On her cast mates from The Hills:
“I still talk to them every now and again—obviously, we’ve been part of such a big thing together, so we’re close in that way—but I was never too close with Audrina and Heidi. But Lauren and I talk. If anybody knows what I’m going through right now it’s her.”
On how she came to be on reality TV:
“I had an interview [for an internship at Teen Vogue] and then got a phone call from MTV a couple of days later. They were like, ‘We’re shooting this documentary-style TV show about girls growing up in L.A. and the fashion industry, blah blah blah’ and I was like, ‘OK that’s interesting, whatever.’ And the next thing I knew they wanted to cast me on the show. But I was really just trying to get the job at Teen Vogue!”
On why the guys in New York City are better than in L.A.:
“I was recently in L.A., and I couldn’t help but think, ‘Oh my gosh, everyone is kind of the exact same here.’ You have all these guys in the entertainment industry who are just trying to be smooth and super-cool. The guys [in New York] are [still] trying to be cool—guys do that everywhere—but they’re more confident and they know what they want.”
On handling her critics:
“I’ve never really noticed anyone giving me a hard time. Maybe they are and I’m just naïve. But I figure if I just stay true to myself and I am the Whitney that I’ve always been, people will look at me not as Whitney from the show, but as a human being.”

NOW that Whitney Port has fled LA for NYC, she’s gotten a taste of what Manhattan men are like, and she’s impressed. The blond starlet of MTV’s “The City” tells this Sunday’s Page Six Magazine: “I was recently in LA, and I couldn’t help but think, ‘Everyone is kind of the exact same here.’ You have all these guys in the entertainment industry who are just trying to be smooth and super-cool. The guys in New York . . . they’re more confident and know what they want.”

Wow, is it really just that easy? The very same day I was personally touching ‘The Hills’ star Whitney Port, a New York Times T mag blogger was getting all dishy with their “style muse” (really?) in Bloomingdales’ “green room.” He offered her a job! (”Want to come work at T? You’re hired.”) And asked more of the hard questions. (”How do you feel about the Heidi/Spencer/Lauren ugliness?”) What else do we learn about the enigmatic Ms. Port? Well, she likes what J. Lo wears, hates Kitson, and wears crap from H&M because she doesn’t make that much money (”I work at Teen Vogue,” she says by way of explanation). Well, T mag will fix that!
