Hollywood power couple Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal are heading to splitsville after a two-plus-year romance, reports said Sunday.

A source close to the “Legally Blonde” actress claimed the two have broken up.

People magazine reported the purported split in an item on its Web site that included no further details.

The revelation triggered immediate denials from representatives of the two movie stars.

“It is not true,” Nanci Ryder and Carrie Byalick, who rep Witherspoon and Gyllenhaal, respectively, told People. “They are still together.”

Witherspoon, 33, and Gyllenhaal, 28, reportedly met while starring in the 2007 movie “Rendition.”

Rumors about their romance were confirmed by the summer of 2008, when they were spotted vacationing together in France and Morocco.

“He’s very supportive. Suffice it to say, I’m very happy in life,” Witherspoon told Vogue magazine last fall, referring to the “Brokeback Mountain” star.

As recently as last month, Witherspoon, who won a 2006 Best Actress Academy Award for her role in “Walk The Line,” dished to InStyle magazine about their weekends in a farmhouse outside Los Angeles.

“We have chickens and we grow cucumbers and tomatoes. I love it,” she said.

Witherspoon has two children from a seven-year marriage to actor Ryan Phillippe that ended in 2006.

She’s an Oscar-winning actress and one of Hollywood’s hottest stars — but even Reese Witherspoon’s children, 9-year-old daughter Ava & 6-year-old-son Deacon, are surprisingly “embarrassed” of their uber-famous mom.

“My children are embarrassed at me all the time. They’re like ‘mom you’re being really stupid’,”Witherspoon told us in a recent interview. “When ‘Monsters vs. Aliens’ came out Ava told me I’m the coolest mom in the third grade. I said ‘can you put it on a piece of paper and sign it for me please’. I was cool once.”

And as cool and yet hot as the majority of men (and women) think Witherspoon is, she won’t be baring too much for the lights and camera.

“I had my first baby when I was 23, so for me, no. I’ve always been choosing roles knowing that I have a daughter and I have a responsibility to her and to the world to be representing women of strength,” the 33-year-old added. “These are the women I know in life. I think it’s a natural extension of parenthood for you to feel like you’re responsible for the worlds you create, whether they be silly or serious. I think you are responsible for the art you put in the world.”

While these are certainly inspiring words of wisdom, don’t be fooled — this mama was more than happy to embrace her childhood habits while lending her voice to “Monsters vs. Aliens”.

“It’s definitely not hard. It’s like you go in and it’s about how imaginative you can be. For me, that’s just a fantastic opportunity to be free and act like a 5-year-old,” Witherspoon added. “We just go in the sound booth and be silly and eat candy and drink caffeine and bounce off the walls. The older I get the more I regress. I really have just become very silly.”

If you look closely down at the pictures, she already has a bruise on her inner thy, although we can’t confirm whether the bruise came from her running the bases or Ryna Phillipe …. (stopping self) … Actually, in case you are still reading this entry, these pictures are of her training for softball for a movie she is about to film. I’m curious, who needs to train for softball? The ball is huge, its more likely you will hit the ball by swinging than you will miss it.

He landed in Australia on Sunday with his love, Abbie Cornish, whom he met on the set of “Stop-Loss” while he was still married to Reese Wither spoon. They’ll be on Cockatoo Island for a Lloyd Klein party today before heading to Lochinvar to meet Corn ish’s extended family. It’s the first time Phillippe, who spent Thanksgiving with Cornish and his children, Dea con and Ava, in the US, has been to Australia. His kids will be with Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal in LA and Tennessee.

While at the Tate Museum in London, actress Reese Witherspoon politely asked if the person who just took a picture of her could delete it. Witherspoon felt it was kind of weird to sneak a photo right behind her back like that, then suggested if they wanted a photo to simply ask for one. The person told Witherspoon that she wasn’t taking a photo of the actress, but of her child who happened to be standing behind her. Witherspoon quickly apologized and returned to her family. The woman leaned over to her friend and whispered, “Sucker. I was so taking her picture.”

Stop-Loss star Ryan Phillippe’s afternoon exercise was interrupted by a helicopter flying high above his Hollywood Hills home. Phillippe tried yelling at the copter, but his plea for privacy was drowned out by the whoosh of the whirling blades. Phillippe retreated inside his home, but quickly returned a few moments with an assortment of poster board and a large magic marker. Phillippe furiously scribbled a message on the poster board then held it up to the sky. The cards read:
