Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have welcomed a baby girl, her rep tells Usmagazine.com.

Harlow Winter Kate Madden was born Friday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A.

She weighed 6 lbs., 7 oz.

A pal was spotted walking into her room with a giant bundle of pink and white balloons, flowers and a stuffed black and white horse.

As Usmagazine.com reported exclusively, she arrived at the hospital late Thursday. Her parents arrived Friday as she went into labor.

Madden’s brother Benji and his girlfriend Sophie Monk were also at the hospital.

(Both Courtney Thorne-Smith and comedian David Alan Grier also welcomed babies Friday.)

In November, Richie said they could not agree on a baby name. “I figure I’ll be in the hospital for at least a day, so I’ll figure it out then,” she told Access Hollywood. In the same interview, Richie indicated the couple would wed “eventually.”

Earlier that month, Richie celebrated her pregnancy with a Wizard of Oz-themed baby shower, attended by Lauren Conrad, among other guests.

Richie and Madden have been actively supporting families and children in need since they launched the Richie-Madden Foundation in December. They threw a “winter wonderland” party for more than 200 children and their families.”

She cites Reese Withersoon and Ryan Phillippe and Jason Priestley and Naomi Lowde naming their daughters Ava (Ava Gardner); Greg Kinnear and wife Helen Labdon naming their daughter Audrey (Audrey Hepburn) and Weeds’ Kevin Nealon and wife Susan Yeagley naming their son Gable (Clark Gable).

Harlow is the last name of famous 1930s screen siren Jean Harlow.

Patricia Arquette and husband Thomas Jane named their daughter Harlow; Joely Fisher also used Harlow as a middle name for her daughter True.

Adds Satran, “Harlow is the coolest glamour girl name.”

UsWeekly.com is reporting that Nicole Richie is at Cedars-Sinai. Dad-to-be, Joel Madden was overheard in the hall saying, “She’s going to start pushing soon.”

The funny thing is, that I didn’t know that when I created the poll in the sidebar(thanks Laura )that Christina Aguilera has been at Cedars since last night. She was suppossedly having a c-section on January 10th - but no word on her yet.

That would be exciting if they were born on the same day! I’ll keep you all posted!

Harlow Winter Kate Madden was born Friday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and weighed 6 lbs., 7 oz.
“The beautiful healthy baby girl left the hospital with her ecstatic parents,” says the rep, who confirmed the birth to PEOPLE exclusively.

Congratulations to Nicole and Joel. May your bundle of joy in no way shape or form inspire Paris to get the baby bug again. Otherwise, I’ll come to your house and knock Joel’s stupid hat off his head. Okay, maybe that’s a bit drastic. I’ll just punch him in the face.

When will the very pregnant Nicole Richie finally pop?

“I think it’s sometime in the next week, that’s all we know,” Josh Madden, a DJ, told reporters at the Fuze Resolution Slenderize Kickoff in Hollywood last night. “We don’t know what it is, we don’t know any names.”

(Richie — who made Us’ list of Hollywood’s best dressed bumps — has also said she and Joel Madden “can’t agree” on baby names either.)

One thing Josh is sure of: Bro Joel will make a great dad.

“He’s always had kids at heart,” Josh said. “He kind of modeled his life like a role model and I’d say if he was having a kid or not that everything he’s done from the start is just going to be continued on.”

When asked if Joel is ready to be a dad, Josh told Usmagazine.com, “Oh yeah, I think so.”

And Josh is more than prepared to play uncle.

“I got them some clothes, that’s what I do,” he said. “It’s been ongoing for a while so it’s cool.”
