Joel Madden is more focused on Mother’s Day than a wedding with Nicole Richie.

“Not anytime soon,” the Good Charlotte rocker, 29, told UsMagazine.com when asked if the couple have plans to wed.

But Madden is looking forward to their first Mother’s Day since Richie, 26, gave birth to daughter Harlow in January.

“I don’t have any [plans] yet but I’m going to plan something special,” he told Us at the Hornitos Cinco de Mayo Party at Crown Bar in West Hollywood Monday.

“She is a great mom,” Madden said. “She is super mom!”

Harlow is even taking after her musically-oriented parents.

“We turn music on and she can’t stand yet but she definitely tries to dance and move to the beat even though she’s not standing or walking,” he told Us.

Well hopefully Nicole Richie isn’t breastfeeding because according to the National Enquirer while her baby daddy was in Europe, Nicole was boozing it up every night. Not to worry, Nicole thinks it’s cool since drinking was not her drug of choice and not the reason she got into trouble before. This boozing binge could explain the reason why Joel decided to take her on the last leg of the tour and also to keep a very close eye on her. He can sit on her all she wants or even make her watch Paris having sex with Benji, the fact is that unless Nicole wants to stop, there isn’t anything Joel can do about it. The fact that he is trying is nice, but it is just going to make her binge like a sailor on leave whenever he isn’t around.

On the bright side, she isn’t driving down the wrong side of a freeway in the middle of the night. Of course this all could be because she is thinking about what it would be like to have Paris Hilton as her sister-in-law and all the years of Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays together.

Brenda Richie told Usmagazine.comat the ASCAP Pop Awards,

“The other day I was holding her, and Harlow said, ‘Hi!’ I said, ‘Nicole, did you hear that?’” Brenda continued. “Nicole said, ‘I don’t think she knew what she was saying!” Brenda added “Nicole talks to Harlow constantly, and she tries to answer back!”

Brenda said little Harlow “is trying to crawl already,” and she thinks “it’s great to see” Nicole having Harlow on a schedule. “[Harlow’s] bathing time has to be right on schedule!”

Grandma Brenda seems to be enjoying her new role, and spending time with her granddaughter - that is when she gets to see her, “I’m lucky if I get to [see] the baby. She loves being with that baby!”

Nicole Richie, who gave birth to daughter Harlow in January, told WWD that her maternity line would make women “look and feel good at a really emotional time”.

Nicole added: “It’s about showing your best self, not your tired, worn-down self. Guys don’t go through that, they just don’t understand.”

Her line will take influence from Balenciaga designer Nicolas Ghesquiere.

“I wore so much Balenciaga during my pregnancy that he was one of my main inspirations,” Richie said.

The socialite will also launch her own jewellery range in the autumn, with the clothing line following later in the year.
