Harper’s Bazaar has been in existence since 1867. It was America’s first fashion magazine. It was the home of Richard Avedon, Carmel Snow, Andy Warhol and so many others has sunk so low that they gave a cover story to Miley Cyrus and even worse called her a cherub in their article. Seriously. Please find me a picture of a gum smacking, “like” saying, cherub. Seriously? This is what this magazine has turned into? “Miley’s own look is slightly tougher (though her face is that of a cherub, and it’s only so tough you can look with eyes as wide as hers).” Hang on a second, I just threw up a little bit in my mouth.

Oh, here are some highlights of the interview.

On the Vanity Fair photos (and her lie)- “Here, my parents are thinking they’re seeing a beautiful picture by a major photographer, and the people of America want to see something dirty in that?” Now, if you will recall, her parents said they had no idea about the picture at all or what kinds of pictures were being taken because they were not there. They said the first they saw it was when they got the magazine. So, someone is lying here because Miley is flat out saying that both of them saw it and implying they both approved it.

On her stripper pole performance on Nickelodeon - “People like controversy because that’s what sells. My job is to be a role model, and that’s what I want to do, but my job isn’t to be a parent. My job isn’t to tell your kids how to act or how not to act, because I’m still figuring that out for myself. So to take that away from me is a bit selfish. Your kids are going to make mistakes whether I do or not. That’s just life.”

Apparently pole dancing is how she wants to be a role model? If she knows she is a role model then why would she do it?

Miley then does the sob story. She talks about crying in her mother’s lap because she was so happy to be leaving LA to make a movie in Georgia. Oh, and she has never felt at home anywhere. All of us need to cry for her now. Oh, and then it is ok that she got a tattoo because it was for a good cause. Uh huh. I think Cystic Fibrosis would have liked a nice check and not a tattoo above her breast which is going to be seen everytime she poses nude beginning next year.

“It reminds me not to take things for granted. I mean, breathing—that was something none of them could do, the most basic thing,” she says. “And I put it near my heart, because that is where they will always be.” Uh huh. Whatever. It is Justin, altered to Just Breathe and I don’t know why I forgot to reveal that blind item. It is a great cover story though. Great, great PR spin.

Miley Cyrus has quit Twitter, leaving her fans puzzled over her abrupt exit.

The teen pop star was one of the most popular people on the microblogging site, with more than 1.1 million followers. But the account for the 16-year-old Cyrus is no longer available.

In one of her last posts, she wrote that Liam Hemsworth, her co-star in the upcoming film “The Last Song,” wanted her to delete her Twitter account “with good reason.”

Publicists for Cyrus didn’t immediately return requests for comment Thursday.

Fans of Cyrus have organized on Twitter under the heading “mileycomeback,” which was one of the most popular topics on the site Thursday.

Daddy has spoken out for the first time about daughter Miley Cyrus’ provocative performance that included the teen singer dancing around a pole at the Teen Choice Awards earlier this month.

At the August 10 event, while singing her hit song, “Party In The USA,” Billy Ray’s 16-year-old daughter jumped on top of an ice cream cart, pushed by her back up dancers. While performing the song, Miley crouched and danced next to a metal pole attached to the top of the cart, which attracted a host of criticisms across the Web.

When asked about headlines that suggested the teen got a little ahead of her age by dancing with the metal pole, Billy Ray — who Access Hollywood caught up with at the Hellmans/Facebook Feeding America Event in NYC on Thursday — said Miley remains focused on “entertaining.”

“You know what? I just think that Miley loves entertaining people,” Billy Ray told Access. “She loves singing [and] songwriting.”

And while some might have taken exception to Miley’s performance, her father encouraged her to block out the negative comments.

“I always tell her to love what you’re doing and stay focused for the love of the art and not worry so much about opinion,” he added.

Police on Thursday searched the home of a 53-year-old man jailed on charges he attempted to stalk Miley Cyrus during filming of her new movie on the Georgia coast.

Capt. Steve Morris of the Columbia County Sheriff’s Department did not say what investigators were looking for at the Appling home of Mark McLeod, who told police he’s secretly engaged to marry the 16-year-old “Hannah Montana” star. The search warrant was sealed by a judge.

McLeod told a Tybee Island police officer who arrested him in June that he had “thousands of pictures and letters to Miley on his computer,” according to a police report.

McLeod was arrested Tuesday on a charge of attempted stalking, a misdemeanor, after security guards for Walt Disney Pictures reported McLeod had returned to the filming location on Tybee Island asking where he could find Cyrus.

Police say McLeod had been warned to stay away from the island, 12 miles east of Savannah, after he was charged June 22 with disorderly conduct and obstruction of a police officer for trying to cross a security perimeter at the movie set. McLeod told police he wanted to see Cyrus, claiming she was his fiancee and sent him secret messages through her TV show.

Tybee Island Police Chief Jim Price would not comment on the search of McLeod’s home, 180 miles from where Cyrus is filming the movie “The Last Song.”

McLeod remained jailed in Chatham County on a $55,200 bond. McLeod told a judge Wednesday he did not have an attorney. He has requested a court-appointed lawyer.

A 53-year-old man who told police he is secretly engaged to marry Miley Cyrus has been charged with attempting to stalk the teenage “Hannah Montana” star, who is filming a movie in the Savannah area.

Tybee Island Police Chief Jim Price said Wednesday that Mark McLeod, 53, of Appling was arrested after Walt Disney Pictures security officers reported he had returned to the beachside movie set Sunday after police warned him to stay away in June.

“He was asking for Miley and going up and knocking on some doors” of beach homes near the set, Price said. “The security guards recognized him. In fact, he went up to the security guards and asked them, ‘Is Miley around?’”

Wearing a yellow tank top and denim shorts so droopy that a deputy had to hold them up in back, McLeod appeared briefly before a Municipal Court judge at the Chatham County jail Wednesday afternoon.

Judge Steven Scheer set bond for McLeod at $50,000, with conditions that he doesn’t return to Tybee Island except for court appearances and he stays away from Cyrus and her family.

“Do I make myself perfectly clear?” Scheer said to McLeod, who wore shackles around his wrists and ankles.

“I got that. Yes, sir,” replied McLeod, who also asked for the court to appoint him a lawyer.

Police on Tybee Island, 12 miles east of Savannah, have been on the lookout for McLeod since he was arrested there June 22 on misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and obstruction of a police officer.

Price said officers arrested McLeod after he tried to breach a security perimeter around the movie set. A police report says McLeod told officers he had come to the beach “to be with Miley” and tried to head butt one of them when he was handcuffed. McLeod later told police he and the 16-year-old Cyrus “were supposed to be together and we couldn’t stop it.”

Officer Warren Millikan wrote in his June report that McLeod claimed he’d met Cyrus 18 months earlier, that he’d sent her diamond rings and other gifts and that she had accepted his marriage proposal.

The report said McLeod told police Cyrus’ father, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, approved of their relationship and that Miley Cyrus sent him “secret messages” through her TV show.

The officer’s report quoted McLeod as saying, “Our eyes met at her concert and we both knew. I walked straight through security and up to her bus. Bill Ray was standing there. He shook my hand and said you’re the good man we’ve been praying for.”

Cyrus has been working on the movie “The Last Song” in coastal Georgia since mid-June. Filming is supposed to wrap up later this month.

McLeod was released from jail in June after signing papers agreeing to return for a court appearance Sept. 1. Price said police obtained a warrant to charge him with criminal attempted stalking, a misdemeanor, after he came back to the island Sunday.

McLeod has made no known threats to Cyrus, Price said, but the attempted stalking charge was warranted because “he’s been warned by the police officers not to come back after the first arrest.”

Sheriff’s deputies in Columbia County arrested McLeod at his home in Appling, 180 miles from where Cyrus is filming, Tuesday evening. He was transported Wednesday back to jail in coastal Chatham County.

In March, the New York Daily news shot video of McLeod waiting in line at a book-signing appearance by Cyrus in Manhattan. “Hold me up. I’m a little bit nervous,” said McLeod, shivering in a heavy coat and wool hat.

“It’s the first time I’ve ever, uh, actually been face to face with her,” McLeod told the newspaper. “I talk to her a lot but it’s kind of like I talk and she responds with pictures. It’s just the way we communicate. I’m going to get her some flowers and I’m going to ask her to marry me.”
