Melissa Joan Hart is the latest star to grace the cover of People in just a bikini and she looks great! She says that after seeing her unflattering pictures of her last summer she decided to lose the extra baby pounds she put on after having her two sons. After a year of dieting she took off 42 pounds with diet and exercise and doesn’t have to worry about bad shots of her this season.

Melissa Joan Hart told Pop Wrap that she was offered $1,000,000 to pose for Playboy and she explains to them why she said no.

PW: Are you the kind of person who can find a silver lining even in that kind of situation?
Melissa: Oh yeah, you gotta move on. But I think my decision through really carefully and try to see them from every angle. Like with my Maxim cover — I almost began regretting that in 1999 because it blew up into this huge scandal where I was going to be fired and sued.

PW: What made you say yes to that?
Melissa: I was 23 years old and willing to be sexy to promote my movie. Plus, I went through a time where I was a little wild. I actually showed up at the photo shoot from the Playboy Mansion, so it was like, “oh big deal — bra and panties, that’s what I saw everybody in all night.” I had no idea how big that was going to be.

PW: So if you learn something from every mistake, what did Maxim teach you?
Melissa: I learned that I didn’t want to do Playboy. They came around and offered me a million dollars, which I had to seriously consider. Initially it’s like, “yeah, I’ll take my clothes off for a million bucks, are you kidding?” It’s the big question: what will you do for a million dollars? But I decided that because of the reaction I got from Maxim I wasn’t comfortable — and my brother had that cover shoved in his face for months. That made me say no.

Could you imagine her doing Playboy? There is something wrong about Clarissa/Sabrina the Teenage Witch taking her clothes off for Playboy. But I guess that was her point.

Melissa Joan Hart made the most of her recent appearance on Bonnie Hunt’s talk show to take some shots at some people and some shows. Love it. Who knew she had the snark in her? Her first order of business was trashing Heather Mills who she referred to as a British chippy. She holds a grudge against her and DWTS for bumping her so they could have Heather Mills on their show.But that’s not all, because face it, I think everyone if given the opportunity would take a dig at Heather Mills. I am surprised though that DWTS has not offered her a slot since that season. It’s not as if they are throwing out A listers on the show. In her second order of business, Melissa took a jab at just about everyone else by saying, “These kids are like franchises right now. They are not just acting and singing. As soon as you have a TV show or a hit song, all of a sudden, you have to have a clothing line, a fragrance, you’ve to got put out a country album - are you kidding me?”

A country album? Who could she possibly be referring to? Hmmmmm. Do we know anyone who had a tv show and a hit song, put out a clothing line and a fragrance and recorded a country album? Let me think about that for one second. Could Melissa possibly be taking a shot at Jessica Simpson? Love it.

I will say this though. Melissa is not exactly playing straight here though as she was one of the original franchises. I seem to recall she did her Clarissa show and then moved into Sabrina and was doing her best to make herself her own little franchise as well. I seem to recall that her family owns a good chunk of Sabrina so perhaps some of this stems from some kind of hidden envy that she didn’t do the whole clothing and fragrance lines. Anyway though, it is nice to see someone go on a talk show and not just throw out a bunch of cliches.

Melissa Joan Hart has such a potty mouth. And that’s a good thing!

The former Sabrina, the Teenage Witch star is ready to begin potty training her eldest son, Mason, 2. And, in cooperation with Pull-Ups training pants, she’ll be keeping an online diary of the high-fives and (soggy) lows.

“I’ve been watching DVDs … and meeting with experts and trying to figure out the potty training, but it really is different for every single kid,” Hart told PEOPLE at The Playroom’s First Anniversary benefiting the organization Friends of the Family on Wednesday in L.A. “You have to take what works for you and leave the rest behind.”

“When Mason first showed signs that he was ready to use the potty, my husband and I were really excited and – more than anything – proud,” Hart, who’s married to musician Mark Wilkerson, said in a statement. “Potty training is one of the first times I’ll be able to act as a teacher to my son, and that adds a little pressure.”

Also adding pressure, she revealed to PEOPLE, is Mason’s need for post-potty celebration. “Normally if you do a high five with a kid, that should be enough of ‘hey, you went on the potty! High five!’ but Mason likes lots of celebration, it has to be all about him, so that’s his thing,” she said. “What works as a reward? Sticker, stamps, candy … We use Hot Wheels cars, but Hot Wheels only worked for a week and then we had to go back to candy and now we’re at stickers.”

The 32-year-old actress – who gave birth to Braydon Hart Wilkerson in March – also talked about the joys of having two boys. “Mason has been great – every time he sees the baby he’s always like, ‘Baby’s so cute,’ and has all these sweet things to say. He always wants to hold him and feed him.”

Maybe she’ll even have help on the next potty-training round!
