An insider says newcomer Lacey Schwimmer is getting the cold shoulder from veteran hoofers Cheryl Burke and Julianne Hough because they’re jealous she’s been teamed up with Lance Bass. “When Lacey was one of the finalists on the Fox show ‘So You Think You Can Dance,’ they were all buddy, buddy. But now they totally ignore her because she has the best partner. They won’t talk to her,” our spy said. An ABC spokeswoman insisted: “I have not heard a negative word. This is a group of professionals.”

The season seven Dancing with the Stars cast was officially announced Monday on ABC’s Good Morning America, and after much Internet speculation on who would be joining the show, there are plenty of surprises.
The diverse lineup includes soap star Susan Lucci, recent Beijing Olympics gold medal winner Misty May-Treanor, Kim Kardashian and former ‘N Sync star Lance Bass. The cast also boasts the oldest-ever competitor with actress Cloris Leachman, 82, and the youngest-ever competitor with Hannah Montana actor Cody Linley, 18.
Dancing producer Conrad Green tells PEOPLE that he’s anticipating this season to be one of the show’s best yet. He says, “tons of people might be contenders right down to the last week. That’s what people want – lots of competition and unpredictable things happening.”
What’s sure to also spice up the competition is the return of pro dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who took last season off. Also, three new dancers will join the show, including Corky Ballas (father of season six champ Mark Ballas), Lacey Schwimmer of 2007’s So You Think You Can Dance, and U.S. Amateur 10 Dance Champion Inna Brayer.
Dancing, which is nominated for eight primetime Emmys this year, kicks off its seventh season on Monday, Sept. 22, on ABC.
“We thought we’d focus on good characters and lots of things could happen. It’s a show that makes itself in some ways,” says Green, adding this bit of advice to fans: “Sit back and get ready for the ride.”

LANCE Bass has found love with a hot trainer, but there’s a catch - the muscle-bound hunk is married. Bass stepped out with personal trainer and aspiring actor Sebastian Leal at a Malibu party recently, confirming rumors that they’re an item. But Page Six has learned that Leal, who is Italian but was born and raised in Brazil, married US citizen Jessica Gannon nine years ago - and never got a divorce. The two separated three years ago, due to what Gannon told us through a rep were “irreconcilable differences.” She added, “We continue to love each other. He was, is and always will be my best friend.” One pal of Bass and Leal told us the news will be no shock to Bass because “Lance and Sebastian are very open with each other and have no secrets.” A rep for Bass, who contacted Leal as well, declined to comment.

The former boy-bander’s two ex-boyfriends, who met through him, have now hooked up with each other. After breaking up with Brazilian model Pedro Andrade, Bass dated hairdresser Ben Thigpen last fall. Last week, Thigpen and Andrade were acting very much like a couple, dancing and holding hands at the joint birthday party of Tenjune owners Mark Birnbaum and Eugene Remm. They were overheard laughing and saying “scandal†when asked if they were dating.

Former Boy Band singer Lance Bass and a new boytoy step out for the night and head over to hotspot Foxtails yesterday in West Hollywood, California. Lance looked ultra hip and super queenly in a white shirt and washed-out denim jeans. We love you Lance, but you shot my Gaydar right through the roof. The last times we had drinks at Azza, you were more macho. Hollywood is turning you into such a bottom. Besides, he looks like a rough top, we don’t want you to be sore. Lube on up Lance and slide on back to New York City. We’ll make you a man again.

Former ‘N Sync singing star Lance Bass had to be taken to hospital earlier this month after injuring himself at a New York City gym. The star bashed his head on a weightlifting machine, after refusing help with a workout, reports Star magazine. A source tells the tabloid, “He tried to use an upper-body machine, but he put more weight on it than he could handle.” Star claims a lever swung back and hit him, badly cutting his head. The source adds, “He was bleeding so badly that the trainers had to call an ambulance to take him away. He was so embarrassed.”

LANCE Bass needs to learn some basic hygiene. When the former boy-bander tried to use the bathroom at the Maritime Hotel’s Hiro Lounge the other night, and found it full of folks smoking funny-smelling cigarettes, he threw a fit, relieved himself, and left without washing his hands. “He was banging on the door like a diva, yelling, ‘What the [bleep] are you guys doing in there?’ †said partygoer Malik Sterling, who saw the squabble. “Finally he just yelled, ‘I just have to pee!’ and he went in.†When Bass was finished, Sterling said, “he wanted to make peace, so he shook everyone’s hand. But he never washed his hands.â€

Last night at a David Kuhn-thrown party at Hotel QT, (more later) we ran into Patrick Price, who was Lance Bass’s editor Simon Schuster editor Out of Sync: A Memoir. You can look it up, he is the 66th person thanked (after “all my buddies at NASA,” God and Jamie Lynn Sigler). Price is a smart looking petite gay man. Bass is the lesbian from ‘N Sync who wanted to be an astronaut. So how was working with young Mr. Bass? There was a long pause and a ‘how do I say this without getting fired’ look: “I mean it’s very much Lance Bass. It’s very unfiltered.” To wit: “We had such starlight in our eyes, we believed we were going to blow everybody away. Then the final votes came back and it turned out we’d lost—to a girl who was deaf!” [Page 10] But more important were questions of the future, not the past. Would there be a Out of Sync Two (perhaps even titled A Life Lived Bass Ackwards?). Price smiled shiftily: “Well, his life continues. There might be a volume two!”
