“Forgive me if I sound out of breath—I’m actually walking on the treadmill,” says Kristen Bell, on the phone from her home in Los Angeles. “I’m like a jackrabbit throughout the day and like to keep moving whenever I can. And this is better than just sitting on the couch for an hour, right?” This can-do attitude explains why she’s on SHAPE’s cover for the second time.

“I know SHAPE readers are always striving to find the next cool thing when it comes to diet and exercise, and I’m happy to share what I’ve learned.” On the eve of a milestone birthday—she’s 30—we spoke with Kristen and picked her brain about the practical but fun ways she keeps her mind, body, and spirit in tip-top shape.

Celebrate your age!
“I don’t subscribe to the idea that aging is a bad thing,” says Kristen. “I’m extremely optimistic about what lies ahead of me. Look at Glenn Close, Helen Mirren, and Meryl Streep: They’re the best at what they do, and beautiful too!”

Stay in tonight
Unless she has a premiere to attend, Kristen and her fiancé, Dax Shepard, prefer to hang out at home. “I have to do these events for my job, and I enjoy them, but on a daily basis, I’d rather get up early and go to bed early,” she says. “Our idea of an exciting night is cooking dinner for friends and playing board and card games. It may sound nerdy, but it’s fun!”

Save your pennies
Kristen’s always been thrifty. “I’m the only person I know who shows up at restaurants at 4:30 p.m. for the early bird special,” she admits. “One of my favorite websites is restaurants.com. You can get a $25 gift certificate for $10!”

Let words inspire you
“I leave stickies on my computer with quotes from Nelson Mandela and Abraham Lincoln to help me when I need a bit of motivation,” says Kristen.
“But I always go back to Eleanor Roosevelt’s words: ‘It’s better to light a candle than to curse the darkness.’ That literally applies to every part of our lives, doesn’t it?”

Kristen Bell was spotted in bikini in Hawaii beach with boyfriend Dax Shepard.

In her a smoking hot aqua blue bikini, the “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” actress and her man splashed around in the water after finding the perfect perch to catch a little sunshine.

Kristen Bell made an appearance at the Alzheimer’s Association’s 17th Annual “A Night At Sardi’s” in Beverly Hills, wearing a gorgeous strapless multi-colored layered dress that definitely upped the temperature in the room.

The event was in honor of the producers of Fox Sports and the TV show “Friday Night Lights”.

Other than Kristen, other celebrity supporters of the charity include Jason Alexander, Kristen Bell, Vanessa Williams, Dick Van Dyke, Michelle Pfeiffer, Michael Chiklis and William Shatner, most of whom were also present that evening.

Set in the suburban Midwest of 1998, “Fanboys” follows a group of obsessive “Star Wars” fans who hit the road to the San Francisco Bay Area with a plot to break into George Lucas’ Skywalker Ranch and to steal an unreleased copy of “Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace.”

“Fanboys” is directed by Kyle Newman and stars Jay Baruchel (the least-narcissistic character from “Tropic Thunder” and the goofy boxer Danger in “Million Dollar Baby”), Sam Huntington (TV’s “Cavemen”), Chris Marquette (TV’s “Joan of Arcadia”), Dan Fogler (”Balls of Fury”) and “Gossip Girl” Kristen Bell (the title character in “Forgetting Sarah Marshall”).

At the premiere, Kristen proved she’d become quite the Star Wars fangirl herself, at least when it came to everyone’s favorite Wookie. As she shared with the San Francisco Chronicle on who she’d go to prom with (choices were Boba Fett, Han Solo, Darth Vader, Chewbacca and Lando Calrissian): “I would accept Chewie’s invite. Because he makes me laugh, and he looks like he’s a great cuddler.”

Asked about her favorite memory from the set, the 28-year-old replied, “Well, my least favorite memory would have to be the scene in which Hutch (Fogler) was scraping his toe jam off on the bed and flicking it at me. Because it was not prop toe jam.

A typical day on the beach between lovers. In this case we have Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell. As we meet our couple today, Kristen is just arriving, while Dax has been baking for awhile. Kristen kisses him, and I feel all of you just threw up a little. It’s ok. Just remember he also jammed that tongue down Kate Hudson’s throat.

With the kiss out of the way and Kristen undressed, she decides she wants Dax to put some sunscreen on her. Before he will though, he makes sure that she has brushed and flossed.
Yes, because when you spray someone on their stomach, it could get in the eyes.
“here, lift your leg. No, twist it. Come on. Stop moving.”
And just a little bit on your ass, because the sun could seep through and actually give you some color.

“Thats it. More Karate Kid. Come on.
“There you go. Mr. Mayagi would be proud.”
“Watch the balls. Watch the balls.”
And then they go down to the water to wash it all off.
