The 31-year-old actress is currently happy to devote all her attention to her four-year-old daughter Suri – her child with husband Tom Cruise – but admits she could change her mind in the near future because she thinks it is good to have a large age gap between siblings.

Asked if she was planning another baby, she said: “Maybe in a couple of years, but right now I want to make sure I’m really there for Suri.

“I’m the youngest in my family. My closest sister is five years older than me, and the next one is nine years ahead of me, so I was a bit of an only child, and I liked it! I liked having all of my mom’s attention, and sometimes I think I still do.”

The ‘Romantics’ actress – who has never spent more than 10 days away from her 48-year-old husband – also admitted she does her best to maintain normality for Suri, even when she and Tom have to travel for work.

She explained to America’s Marie Claire magazine: “We travel a lot, and so for me, it’s keeping a daily schedule for Suri that never changes. We wake up and we do the same thing. She does her chores.

“If she doesn’t get her chores done, I notice she’s not really herself. She has to make her bed, she has to take her dishes to the sink, she has to put her clothes in the laundry – you know, that basic stuff.”

Katie acknowledges she has an “amazing” life with Tom, and is adamant neither of them take their success for granted.

She added: “It’s really exciting. Tom’s as big at home as he is on the movie screen. He’s so passionate about everything, whatever he’s doing. When he’s being a dad, he’s right there; he’s giving it his all. It’s inspiring and it’s fun. It’s an amazing life, but we always remind ourselves of how incredibly lucky we are.”

Suri, 3, is already a budding fashionista — and Katie insists that the style choices are hers alone! “She picks them out,” Holmes tells “Extra” of the tot’s wardrobe. “She’s a very good shopper… she goes in and she knows exactly what she likes, and she picks it out.”

In addition to parenting Suri, Katie also is step-mom to Tom’s kids, Connor and Bella — but is she ready for more kids of her own? When “Extra” asked Katie about expanding her brood, the actress only laughed.

The “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark” star also chatted about watching hubby Tom Cruise perform stunts on the Boston set of his flick “Wichita.” “It was exciting… I mean, it was a little scary,” Holmes admitted, “but I also know he’s so strong… and he’s doing that for that effect… so I’m like, ‘Oh my god… okay.’”

Normally I would just put this photo in Random Photos but it is fascinating to me on so many levels. How is it possible that Katie Holmes looks three inches shorter than Tom Cruise? Can you run with lifts in your shoes? Why do they have to match? Not just their clothes but the four inch loft to their hair as well. Oh, and they are exactly in sync with their stride too. Wedding rings right there ready to be seen. Marathon training? Bionic Man and Woman coming soon to a theatre near you? Why does Katie need her Blackberry while jogging? It isn’t like the 20 security people around them couldn’t deliver a message. Is there something on it she doesn’t want sitting around for the goons to find while she isn’t there? Do you think they showered together after?

When I think of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes which is almost every second of every day, I tend to think that Tom is the evil manipulative one and Katie is the brainwashed desperate to escape one in the relationship. Granted, my vision is probably correct, but yesterday in Australia things changed. Now was it yesterday in Australia or was it today which would really be tomorrow? You know what? It happened at some point in the last 48 hours in Australia. Tom, who hasn’t been spending much time with Katie lately was on the set of her new movie called, “I’m Going To Bomb At The Box Office.” While on the set which was a public location fans of course wanted to talk to him. Please, you know you would as well. It might not be pleasant but you know you would go see how tall he was or say something. So, Tom, being Tom did the photographs and autographs and did what he does best. Schmooze.

When he finally finished, Radar Online says he went back to being with Katie who was just a wee bit ticked at not getting all of Tom’s attention. Some words were exchanged and Tom “stormed away.” Oh, incidentally, I think Kate Major went to work for Radar. Read this quote and tell me how this contributes to the story. “Tom, clad in a cute black sweater and tight jeans…” Well, if it was her who wrote it, the good news is Tom only has three kids compared to 8 for Jon Gosselin. It’s a long way from Dawson’s Creek to happy feet but Katie Holmes proves she’s got the moves in a one-off dance performance.

The actress performed a special tribute to Judy Garland for the 100th episode of US TV show, So You Think You Can Dance?
Katie – who is not a professional dancer – wowed the audience with a slick, stylish and sexy performance of Garland’s greatest hit, Get Happy.

‘This is an homage to Judy Garland and I am very excited about it. I like to sing and dance so it is really fun,’ she said, before the tape of her performance was shown.

The routine begins with Katie, dressed in a retro 1940s white skirt suit, stepping out of a classic car onto a pebbled street.
She then leans against a lamp post and begins singing the legend’s famous lyrics.

The scene then switches to a stage routine, with Katie dressed in little more than a hat, black tuxedo jacket and fishnets.
As she high-kicks her way through the song, she’s surrounded by muscular male dancers; we wonder what hubby Tom Cruise would say to that!

At one point, Katie is carried over the heads of the dancers, before jumping on top of a piano to continue dancing.
The US dance show is hosted by British presenter Cat Deeley.

She interviewed Katie after her performance was shown to the audience and discovered the reason behind the routine.
Katie reveals that she wanted to do the show to introduce her new charity, the Dizzy Feet Foundation.

She co-founded the charity with SYTYCD judge Nigel Lythgoe, which is aimed at helping underprivileged children become professional dancers.

‘I think it’s important to let kids experience music, dancing and singing, and the arts and also sports,’ she told Cat.

Judge Nigel thanked Katie after her performance and said she had worked really hard on getting the routine right.
The Dizzy Feet Foundation also gives scholarships to dancers, choreographers and dance teachers.

Katie told Cat, ‘This is the next generation. I think it is important to give them every opportunity to grow and discover what it is that they like and to have access to the best.

She’s one of the most trendsetting toddlers the world has ever seen.

Now little Suri Cruise seems to be inspiring those closer to home.

Suri and mum Katie Holmes were spotted with matching messy hairstyles in Los Angeles yesterday.

In the past, Katie has been accused of having a hairstyle exactly like her Hollywood husband Tom Cruise; short, cropped and boyish.

But the Dawson’s Creek star now looks more like her three-year-old daughter, with a longer, less severe, look.

Katie, 30, was seen collecting the cute Ms Cruise from a ballet class in LA.

Clutching her daughter, dressed in a bold floral print dress, Katie was also seen holding a tiny pair of ballet shoes.

Perhaps Suri was keen to take up ballet after seeing The Nutcracker in December last year?

The toddler went backstage after the performance in New York and seemed to be transfixed by the prima ballerinas in their tutus and professional dance shoes.

But dance lessons aren’t the only classes Suri is having.

The National Enquirer said last month that Tom is spending $1million on French, Spanish, ballet, tap, modern dance, gymnastics and football lessons for the tot.

And she hasn’t even started school yet!

She told reporters: “I’m really honored to be here because they do so much good in helping filmmakers to show their voice and their talents.”

The trip to New York City follows a stop in Katie’s hometown of Toledo, Ohio, where she attended the funeral of her sister’s husband, who passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 48.
