Justin Timberlake is known for spending time on the fairway, so it should come as no surprise that he’s hoping to hit a hole in one with a new golf memoir.

According to the New York Observer, in June, a literary agent sent book editors a Timberlake-penned golf book proposal.

Though the agent and a rep for the pop singer wouldn’t comment on the project to the magazine, the Observer reports the book is expected to be a memoir of Timberlake’s time on the green and his experiences playing with various competitors.

The “Cry Me A River” singer has had plenty of golfing experience. He regularly is captured by photographers zooming around various golf courses or competing in celebrity tournaments.

There’s trouble in paradise for Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel.

Pals say the two were having problems long before rumors circulated that the singer cheated at NYC nightclub Avenue late last month. Timberlake and Biel, a couple for two years, haven’t been spotted together since late May, and friends say their relationship is quickly going south.

“Things don’t look good for them right now — they’ve hit a really rocky spot,” confides a source close to Timberlake, who adds that serious problems began back in February during a boys’ trip to Las Vegas.

“Justin had to leave dinner once because Jessica was calling him incessantly. They got into a huge screaming match over the phone about how she’s always ‘checking up’ on him. She’s extremely needy and is always keeping tabs on him.”

The insider isn’t the only one who thinks Biel is a bother. “All his friends think she’s really annoying,” added the source. “She’s always trying to be one of the guys. She and Justin have no chemistry.”

And if things went badly between JT and Biel the last time the singer went away for a weekend with the boys, they’re surely no better now.

“Justin is partying in London right now,” said the insider. “Jessica wanted to go with him, but he wasn’t having it. He just wanted to get away with the guys. He needed his space from her.”

JT certainly does seem to be having a blast in the U.K. He attended Elton John’s White Tie and Tiara Ball and a concert with Prince Harry and Chace Crawford in Hyde Park, hit Wimbledon and launched his clothing line, William Rast — all before going out for a night on the town with Madonna’s ex Guy Ritchie.

At least one Timberlake pal has Biel’s back. “Jessica is really fun to be around,” says JT’s former ’N Sync cohort Lance Bass. “I haven’t spoken to Justin in a while, but the last I knew, he really loved her.”

Timberlake’s rep says she doesn’t comment on her client’s personal life; Biel’s didn’t respond to calls.

A night out with the boys may get Justin Timberlake in hot water with girlfriend Jessica Biel.

According to an eyewitness, the singer was in party mode at Chelsea hot spot Avenue one recent night. “Usually Justin is pretty in control, but he was acting pretty crazy,” our spy said. “He was drinking tequila all night. At one point, he cleared out a little space and started break dancing. He was bumping into people and spilling drinks. It was hilarious.”

Our source also says that at one point, Lindsay Lohan, currently off with on-again, off-again girlfriend Samantha Ronson, tried to dance with Timberlake, but “he shooed her away.”

But that didn’t stop Timberlake from later cozying up to an unidentified brunette partygoer. “It definitely wasn’t Jessica,” laughs our source. “He was pretty drunk.”

Later that night, Lohan ended up posting a thinly veiled message on her Twitter account, “where’s jb cheater” — seemingly referring to Timberlake’s girlfriend, Biel. The next day, she added, “Why do people cheat?” But she eventually backtracked, claiming that both messages had been sent by someone who’d hacked into her Twitter account.

Avenue owner Noah Tepperberg said, “My partner, Danny A, was with Justin and a few of his guy friends the entire night, and I was within 15 feet of him the whole time he was there, and we know for sure he was not doing anything with other girls. He was having a good time with the guys, and came and left with them. I have surveillance cameras that show this to be the case and anything you are hearing is simply not true.”

A rep for Timberlake said, “I have no comment on my client’s personal life.”

A fired manager at Justin Timberlake’s Southern Hospitality has filed a lurid sexual discrimination suit - claiming the restaurant utterly failed to live up to its name.

It’s the second time in six months the singer’s upper East Side barbecue joint has been sued by a former employee.

In the latest legal battle, aspiring actress Alison McDaniel claims Timberlake business partners Eytan Sugarman and Ronnie Kaplan are guilty of “vile and discriminatory conduct.”

McDaniel, 29, said her job as general manager became an X-rated nightmare in which she was spit on, pelted with expletives and subjected to porn.

“In at least one instance, defendants Sugarman and Kaplan viewed … pornography while in a locked room with McDaniel and made fun of her when she began crying,” the suit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court claims.

A publicist for Southern Hospitality had no comment. Timberlake and best friend Tracy Ayala are also named as defendants.
McDaniel alleges other female workers endured racist comments. A hostess who was fired was nicknamed “that ghetto girl at the door,” the court papers say.

McDaniel, who worked at the Second Ave. restaurant for a year, was fired after she wrote a memo complaining of the harassment, the suit claims.

Her lawyer said she did not file a complaint with the Equal Opportunity Employment Commission before filing suit Thursday.
In a federal case filed in November, a busboy claimed Southern Hospitality employees weren’t getting their fair share of tips and overtime.

Start spreading the news: Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are heading to the Big Apple.

The two were photographed checking out their new Manhattan apartment on Monday.

“The apartment is great. He’s loving it!” the singer’s mother, Lynn Harless, told Us of his NYC pad with Biel, at his William Rast fashion show on Monday.

Biel — who was seated next to Emile Hirsch — sat front row at the show, where she clapped often for her beau.

Harless told Us she is equally proud of her son.

“I’ve always been a music person first and foremost, but I think we’ve all become serial entrepreneurs,” she said of her son’s idea to start a clothing line with pal Trace Ayala. “We are open to whatever comes along.”

Justin Timberlake wins style props in the March issue of GQ magazine. The magazine picked the entertainer to lead a list of the “10 Most Stylish Men in America.” It singled out Timberlake for his impact on fashion, willingness to take risks and “knack for targeting trends” such as hats, three-piece suits, skinny ties and beards.

Timberlake, who launched his clothing line William Rast several years ago, tells GQ he considers model Kate Moss a style icon because she “could put a barrel on and it would be some sort of statement.”

It irks the 28-year-old heartthrob when an entire outfit revolves around a hat, and he’d never wear an argyle sweater vest off the golf course. He prefers to keep it simple, clothes-wise.

Other “Stylish Men” include Kanye West, T.I., Jason Schwartzman, hotelier Andre Balazs and photographer Alexi Lubomirski.

This is one birthday Justin Timberlake won’t soon forget.

Jessica Biel, 26, threw her singer beau a Super Bowl-themed surprise birthday party in the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel’s ultra-exclusive penthouse on Sunday afternoon, PEOPLE has learned.

“Justin was totally blown away when he walked in. He had no idea,” says a source.

On hand were close to 100 friends and family of the couple, including both of their parents, Biel’s brothers, Timberlake’s cousins and his best friend Trace Ayala, who joined the happy pair to toast Timberlake turning 28.

The penthouse was transformed with flat-screen televisions brought in especially for the festivities, and the party feasted on gourmet buffalo wings, pizza, mini sliders and red velvet cupcakes.

Biel planned the party down to every last detail, and visited the hotel to make sure everything would be just perfect, says the source.

And she was the perfect hostess. Wearing a little black cotton dress and flats, Biel worked the room while taking breaks to sit with Timberlake.

“They held hands and relaxed,” says a guest. “They seemed very happy together.”

Although Justin Timberlake is not actually forcing 14 year old kids to make his clothes in some factory somewhere, he is being accused of not paying his employees the money they earned for overtime and also for stealing their tips. I can’t tell you how much I hope that a suit filed by one of Justin’s ex restaurant employees actually has some legs and that he gets nailed.

Felipe Ramales alleges in his suit that Southern Hospitality regularly did not pay employees overtime when they worked over 40 hours in a week and that the management was also keeping some of the tip money for themselves.

If I were Justin I would just sweep this under the rug right now and give this guy a check. I don’t know if the allegations are true, but rich people screwing over poor employees is not the best image enhancer. I’m sure that Kathy Lee would be happy to sit down with Justin and tell him all about it. She was on top of the world before that whole sweat shop thing. Next thing you know she was selling her albums on infomercials and having to stay home all day with Frank.

For their part, Southern Hospitality of course denies all the charges and says their employees are treated better than any other employees on the planet. This of course will be their stance until it is uncovered that Justin and Trace Ayala were using the tip money for lap dances and llama riding classes.
