Jodie Foster has given us many amazing performances over the years - but one you won’t be seeing is her emotionally charged confrontation with officers from the Beverly Hills Police Department after they nailed her for speeding.

A crew from truTV’s reality show “Speeders” - which rides with highway patrols to film motorists getting caught speeding and then trying to talk their way out of a ticket - was with the Beverly Hills cops last weekend when they clocked a Prius allegedly going 54 mph in a 35 mph zone.

When an officer and the camera crew approached the car, they found Foster - winner of Best Actress Oscars for “The Silence of the Lambs” and “The Accused” - sitting behind the wheel.

Our source relates that, “Foster refused to sign a waiver to appear on the show, so the camera crew ceased filming and returned to the police car. But she grew quite agitated and angry, and kept insisting to the police officers that the radar gun must have made a mistake. She maintained to the officers that she was only going 30 mph at the time they pulled her over, and she kept interrupting and complaining that the process was taking too long.”

During Foster’s histrionics, the officer made a call to get his supervisor to the scene, “which just further annoyed her,” according to our spy. “Despite her numerous requests otherwise, the cops still issued her a citation.”

Beverly Hills Police spokesman Lt. Tony Lee told Page Six: “She was upset that she got pulled over, but she signed the ticket and went on her way.”

Reps for the Yale-educated mom of two, who made $15 million per movie, did not return multiple calls and e-mails. Foster, 46, who recently starred in Fox’s family flick “Nim’s Island,” is said to be developing a biopic about Nazi-era director Leni Riefenstahl.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button star Brad Pitt went another route, saying, via a taped message, “[David] has got a great ass.” Frost/Nixon stars Michael Sheen and Frank Langella, meanwhile, enacted a lengthy skit in which they recreated the climatic “I’m saying when the president does it, it’s not illegal” scene from the film over and over and over, implying that their director Ron Howard demanded as many as 93 takes from them. Sheen went on to say, “Working with Ron Howard is like working with an amateur,” pointing out that Howard was far too wholesome and earnest to work in the cutthroat and cynical world of Hollywood.

I’m just waiting for someone to read the headline and not read the post, and then call me an idiot for not knowing Jodie is gay. What I really can’t believe is that Jodie Foster is the same kind of cheating on your significant other kind of liar that so many others are. According to The Enquirer, Jodie cheated on her partner of 14 years with a much younger woman. I just have a hard time picturing Jodie using the same tired old cliches as any other cheater out there.

“Oh, yeah, I’m in a relationship, but it’s been dead for years.”

“We’re only together for the kids.”

“We have an understanding.”

“How much do you charge?”

Whoops. That last one is really just from personal experience, and is probably not indicative of what Jodie said when she decided to cheat and break up her long term relationship. Can’t you just see Jodie over the years just railing against any guy in the world who cheated on his significant other for someone much younger. I know she said it and you know she said it, but she went ahead and did it anyway.

Does anyone else feel a huge sense of disappointment to know that Jodie did it? Meanwhile. Poor Cydney right? Where is she? Still living with Jodie. Jodie is probably bringing home her new girlfriend each night and they laugh and play while Cydney cries herself to sleep in the basement. Know the feeling Cydney. The now broken couple continues planning to raise the children together, but you know that pretty soon, Jodie will make up some excuse and Cydney will be reduced to the odd phone call every other Mothers Day. Err Fathers Day?

It just goes to show you why you should never talk about your significant other in public or in a magazine article or a television show because in the next instant what seemed to be a great 14 year relationship could be done. The Enquirer is reporting that Jodie Foster and her long time partner Cydney Bernard are calling it quits.

It was only in December that she finally opened up in public for the first time about her relationship, and look, wham, five months later, it’s done. Guess maybe she didn’t see it coming or she was trying desperately to keep it going or just appeasing Cydney. Who knows? Cydney who has been there for both of the births of their children and is nine years older than Jodie has been around for what seems like forever, and by Hollywood standards is forever.

Honestly I don’t think Jodie Foster is the easiest person to probably live with, and combine that with the fact that she is the reason a President was shot and you can kind of see why she is a bit of a control freak and always a little on edge. She never answers the phone, doesn’t have any staff, and until a few months ago didn’t have a cell phone. You would think that someone who is as rightfully afraid of stalking as anyone on the planet that she would in fact want a cell phone. I guess she though real life was like the movies and that a policeman would magically appear or she would be able to use CGI to battle her way out of a life threatening situation. OK, she probably got it because she needed a way to call AAA, but my way sounds more fun.

I actually think they were a great couple and to me Cydney was a saint, because in case you haven’t been able to read between the lines of the last few paragraphs, Jodie can be, not so much fun to be around, and that seems to be almost a 24/7 kind of thing from her. 14 years of that can leave anyone needing a break or a drink, or both.

The man who allegedly stalked Hollywood star Jodie Foster with threatening letters has been arrested on charges of mailing a bomb threat to a Los Angeles California airport. Michael Smegal, of Massachusetts was charged yesterday with mailing the threat, which included the words “Jodie Foster S” and “going to be a gas bomb this building (sic),” to the Van Nuys Airport in December of last year. Police claim Smegal sent a further 100 almost identical letters, some of which also mentioned Foster, to the addresses of celebrities, businesses and airports.Prosecutors say Foster first began receiving anonymous letters and packages from Massachusetts in 2004. If convicted, Smegal faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
