Hollywood star Jessica Simpson looks set to win over millions of new fans in India, where she has started shooting a new television documentary.

The U.S. singer turned all cultural during a trip to Mumbai this weekend, where she was spotted wearing a traditional bindi dot and a henna tattoo on her hand.

During her trip the star attended a glittering Bollywood Bash while she is in the country filming her reality TV show The Price Of Beauty.

The Dukes of Hazzard star was in Mumbai on Sunday and has been spending a lot of time with Bollywood superstar Neha Dhupia.
It was there the Indian actress threw a glamorous party in her honour at Mumbai’s most exclusive venue, Vie Lounge.

Sources at the chic venue said: ‘Jessica came into Vie Longe showing off a traditional ‘bindi dot’, which Indian women wear as a style statement.

‘Hers was shaped like a goddess’s spear or trident, and painted in holy vermilion, which is really fashionable with young Indian women.

‘She looked absolutely stunning in a turquoise sari. Looking that good she fitted right in with India’s fashion elite at the party.’

Stunning Indian actress Neha has been chosen to represent Indian beauty, and will be on-hand throughout to advise the Hollywood stunner.

She said: ‘I’m absolutely thrilled and excited to have been chosen for the show, and I’ll be giving my best to represent Indian beauty.’

Her new show will see her travel around the globe, finding out what different cultures consider beautiful and why.

The multi-platinum selling singer also got into Indian fashion straight away, sporting an ornate henna tattoo on her hand, painstakingly designed by an Indian artist.

Jessica Simpson has told of her horror after a coyote snatched her beloved pet dog, Daisy.

The singer and reality star used Twitter to appeal for the safe return of her Maltese-poodle cross and offered a reward to anyone who could help.

After posting a pic of Daisy, Jessica, 29, Tweeted: ‘My heart is broken because a coyote took my precious Daisy right in front of our eyes.

‘HORROR! We are searching. Hoping. Please help!’

It’s thought the dog was taken from the star’s garden in Calabasas, California.

A neighbour said: ‘We heard yelling and screaming coming from the direction of Jessica’s house around 9pm.

‘I can only imagine that it was that moment that it happened because the next day we saw posters up around the neighbourhood announcing that Jessica had lost her dog to a coyote. It’s so sad.’

Followers of Simpson on Twitter posted a mixed collection of messages.

Some were sympathetic, and said they would pray for the dog’s safe return, while others mocked Jessica for using Twitter when her dog had been taken by a wild animal.

Fan healincomfort replied: ‘I’m praying that you find her and she was able to defend herself.

‘My heart hurts for you, I’m an animal lover and it’s like losing a family member.’

But a tweet posted by UnsafestCorpse made reference to the cartoon character Wile E. Coyote, quipping: ‘I have spotted the dog in a box marked ‘ACME’ being chased by a Roadrunner.’

Simpson has had her Maltipoo for several years and rarely travels without her.

Daisy is sometimes carried around in a Louis Vuitton dog-carrier and has even appeared on-stage during Simpson’s concerts.

Well the good news is this story has absolutely nothing to do with Tony Romo. The bad news is that four consecutive days of Jessica Simpson stories probably sets a record. She should get dumped more often. Not only does the world feel somewhat sympathetic towards her, she hasn’t received this much publicity since her farmer fruit tour. That is my term for any type of fair that incorporates a fruit. The so and so Peach Festival or something like that. Oh, and one of the other requirements is there has to be a Miss Peach Festival and she has to be 18 and the daughter of either a farmer or the car dealer in town who agreed to loan out cars for the parade featuring his daughter.

Anyway, the NY Post is reporting that on Jessica’s new television show called The Price Of Beauty that she is taking price to a whole new level. Apparently she managed to talk VH-1 into giving her a budget of $25,000 an episode for hair and makeup. That is a monstrous amount of money for a low budget cable travel show. I would say 99% of the people involved in the show will make less than the hair and makeup person. The Post says VH-1 is pissed. Hey they are the ones who signed the contracts. As for Jessica’s people, they say, “A budget was approved when the deal was made. All parties were satisfied.”

When a spokesperson says all parties were satisfied it means they are laughing their asses off while the other side fires someone.

VH1 just found out how high “The Price of Beauty” can be. Jessica Simpson is scheduled to start shooting the new show next week and travel to seven countries examining exotic beauty regimens. But VH1 isn’t happy with her budget. “To get her camera-ready each episode will cost $25,000,” said our source. “She insists on using her own hair, makeup and fashion stylists, who are more expensive than J.Lo’s.” A VH1 rep said, “We never comment on what we spend or don’t spend.” Simpson’s rep, Cindi Berger, said, “A budget was approved when the deal was made. All parties were satisfied.”

After Tony Romo callously dumped Jessica Simpson the night before her 29th birthday, he made sure his ex wouldn’t be able to get near his Dallas home.

The new issue of Us Weekly, on stands now, reports the Dallas Cowboys quarterback instructed security to keep Simpson out of his gated community.

A sign at the entrance reads: “RED ALERT!!! TONY ROMO HAS MADE SOME CHANGES TO HIS LIST OF PEOPLE ALLOWED IN….JESSICA IS NO LONGER ON THE LIST AND NOT APPROVED FOR ACCESS.

Jessica Simpson may have looked happy hanging with girlfriends over the weekend, but her family is still worried about her.
The singer’s parents have been pushing her to go out and enjoy herself since her breakup from Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, People magazine reports.

But while she partied with some friends recently, Simpson may not be over her ex just yet.

“She feels she’s being judged by the world and opts to hide out at home,” a family friend revealed. “The family feels bad for Jessica. They worry for her a lot.”

It’s a role reversal for the older Simpson sister, whose sibling Ashlee seems to be happy with her life with husband Pete Wentz, and their baby boy Bronx Mowgli.

“The family used to have such faith in [Jessica] and they worried about Ashlee,” the family friend says. “Now they are fully confident in Ashlee’s choices and they worry most of their days about Jessica. It seems she just can’t catch a break.”
Before Romo reportedly ended things with Simpson the night before she turned 29, she suffered another rough patch concerning her fluctuating weight.

Simpson was slammed for wearing mom jeans onstage during a January concert, and was splashed across the covers of magazines for looking a chunky in them.

Despite the heartbreak, the singer isn’t diving into a tub of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. The singer, who is set to shoot her new VH1 reality show “The Price of Beauty,” was spotted leaving a personal training session yesterday in West Hollywood.

However since the split with Romo, Simpson’s been down, according to the family friend.

“She takes breakups really badly,” another Simpson source said. “She has a hard time letting go.”
