Jennifer Lopez is convinced she would struggle as a single mother – because she relies heavily on husband Marc Anthony’s help.
The couple welcomed twins Max and Emme in 2008, and after shooting her film The Back-Up Plan – about a woman who is artificially inseminated – she’s ruled out undergoing in vitro fertilisation to have any more children.
And Lopez insists she admires women who go through the treatment without a partner to help raise the child.
She tells USA Today, “I know a couple of people, both people I work with and friends, who have done this. I just don’t know if I could do this, honestly. Now I know how much I rely on my partner.
“Knowing what single mums go through, I think it takes such an amazing person to do that. You get to a point in your life and you think about it, and I think it’s a beautiful thing to be able to find the strength to do that on your own.”

Jennifer Lopez is ELLE’s February cover girl. In the February issue she speaks on motherhood, heartbreak, and the future of her career.
On why she never considered in vitro fertilization, like her character in The Back-Up Plan:
“When it comes to family and relationships, I’m quite traditional. Just because of the way I was raised. And I also believe in God and I have a lot of faith in that, so I just felt like you don’t mess with things like that. And I guess deep down I really felt like either this is not going to happen for me or it is. You know what I mean? And if it is, it will. And if it’s not, it’s not going to.”
On the merit of her romantic comedies:
“I think Maid in Manhattan and Monster-in-Law are very layered movies. And that’s why they’re so successful. People don’t like shitty romantic comedies. Nothing that’s shitty is going to make $100 million.”

On hosting a dinner for Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor:
“She didn’t realize what she was going to symbolize. And it’s always scary to be thrown into it–that’s what I felt like when I did Selena. You’re thrown out there, and all of a sudden you’re not anonymous. You are now known. And that’s a lot to handle. It’s scary at first. Then you get used to it. And so she was in that moment of her life where it’s just like, What the hell? Everybody’s clapping for me. People are writing about me, talking about me, I’m on TV. She was just a judge in New York.”

Yes, Jennifer Lopez is on the cover of Elle this month and she was on Allure last month and she obviously has a great PR team. However, they might have wanted to check up on her when she was doing her interview with Latina Magazine. The howls of laughter you can hear reverberating throughout the world are probably from when the Latina reporter read aloud this quote from Jennifer Lopez to the rest of the staff. “I feel like I had that (Oscar role) in ‘El Cantante’, but I don’t even think the Academy members saw it. I feel like it’s their responsibility to do that, to see everything that’s out there, everything that could be great.”
Wow. Really? Well, I saw it and she and I must have been looking at two totally different movies. She was looking at the one in her head and the one her handlers told her they saw and not the one that was real.
To show you that Jennifer is still hip and Jenny from the block she actually used the word dope in a sentence. Seriously. And she wasn’t referring to her husband or drugs. “I had just given birth on the 22nd (February), and the Oscars, I think, were a day or two later. I was sitting there with my twins (and) I couldn’t have been happier, but I was like, ‘How dope would it have been if I would’ve won the Oscar and been here in my hospital bed accepting the award?’ - ‘Thank you so much! I just want to thank the Academy!’”
Uh huh. Yeah, it would have been dope alright.

Jennifer Lopez took a spill during her performance at Sunday’s 2009 American Music Awards. While performing her new song ‘Louboutins’ at L.A.’s Nokia Theatre on Sunday, she climbed a stair of dancers and jumped off.
Jennifer Lopez says her accidental tumble wasn’t an accident at all.
During an interview on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS FM radio show this morning, J. Lo explained that falling during her gig was all part of the plan.
She said, “Did I trip a little bit? I don’t even remember. Yeah, I meant to do that. That was part of the choreography.”
“The measure of things isn’t what happens when you fall, it’s how you recover when you fall. It was fun, it was really fun. It was nice to be back on stage and doing my thing.”

Those videos Jennifer Lopez wants to keep under wraps could be public as soon as Monday.
The lawyer for J.Lo’s ex is threatening to put 12 hours of footage into court files, where the media and others would have access to it.
“Jennifer Lopez does not want the home videos to be entered into the open court record,” lawyer Ed Meyer told RadarOnline.com.
The videos made by Ojani Noa during his brief marriage to Lopez have been widely described as sex tapes, though he claims they are not explicit.
“They think I have a sex tape with her and that I’m trying to sell it,” he told E! News earlier this week.
“My tape is from our honeymoon, the wedding, us hanging out. There’s no nudity – maybe one spanking.
“There’s moments of her fighting with her mom…couples having fun and kissing. If someone has a sex tape, it’s not me,” the 35-year-old added.
Lopez, 40, filed a $10 million suit against Noa this month to prevent him from releasing the video, taken during their 10-month union in 1997.
Noa reportedly was peddling a mockumentary film, titled “How I Married Jennifer Lopez: The J.Lo and Ojani Noa Story.”
“I’m not going to harm anybody,” Noa said. “I’m a great guy. If I was going to hurt anybody I have had many, many chances to do it. I always wish her the best.”
But this isn’t the first time Lopez has tried to stop Noa from cashing in on her fame.
She won a $545,000 lawsuit in 2007 that put the kibosh on a tell-all.
