Charlie Sheen and his wife, real estate investor Brooke Mueller, welcomed twin boys — Bob and Max — Saturday in Los Angeles.

The new arrivals are the couple’s first children together.

On March 12, Sheen told Extra he was officially “on standby” for the twins’ impending arrival.

“What time is it?…It could be tomorrow, next week. We’re on standby,” he admitted. Prompting their heightened alert was Mueller’s overnight trip to an L.A. hospital last month after experiencing premature contractions, not uncommon in women carrying twins.

The couple — who met through Eric Dane and his wife Rebecca Gayhart in 2006 — said they had not yet settled on names.

“We’re still sort of circling Bob and Nik…N-I-K,” the actor, 43, told Extra.

Sheen and Mueller, 31, announced they were expecting last summer.

“Brooke and I are thrilled! She’s the best stepmom Sam, Lola and Cassandra could ever hope for,” Sheen told Us at the time, referring to his three daughters, Sam, 5, and Lola, 3 (with ex-wife Denise Richards), and Cassandra, 23 (with ex-girlfriend Paula Profitt).

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have revealed their second daughter’s name: Seraphina, a source confirms to Usmagazine.com.

The girl was born Jan. 6 in Los Angeles.

Garner and Affleck — also parents to daughter Violet, 3 — did not reveal the meaning behind the baby’s name.

“Seraphina is an elaborately feminine kind of name that’s really come into style over the past few years, like [Affleck’s friend Matt Damon’s daughter] Isabella,” Baby Name Bible author Pamela Redmond Satran, who also runs Web site Nameberry, tells Us.

“Seraphim is one of the highest orders of angels,” adds Satran. “It kind of follows from Angelina, which has gotten super popular because of Angelina Jolie, as a a spiritual, heavenly name.

The ‘ph’ spelling of Seraphina is more Hebrew in origin. It means ‘ardent,’ which is passionate,” she says.

“Ben and Jen really put Violet on the map,” Satran says of the couple’s knack for naming. “They transformed it from what people saw as a dowdy, old lady name to a really cute, modern choice.”

Gwen Stefani has finally given the world a glimpse of her 2-month-old son Zuma.

The two visited a library in Beverly Hills on Wednesday.

“He’s amazing, he’s very sweet,” pop Gavin Rossdale said of their newborn at Us Weekly’s Hot Hollywood bash last week.

“He hangs out,” Rossdale added. “He’s got his neck together. He’s gone through with the floppy stage.”

How is Kingston as an older brother?

“He does a bit. Every day starts with a cuddle for his brother or a slap and then he moves on,” Rossdale told Us.

A slap?

“Not often, every now and again,” he said. “It’s normal, it’s natural.”

Stefani and Rossdale - who recently celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary - welcomed Zuma this past August.

“Everyone is just so very happy,” Rossdale’s father Douglas told Us after the baby’s birth. “It’s fantastic news, and I’m just so happy.”

Philip Seymour Hoffman, and his longtime girlfriend, Mimi O’Donnell, have given birth to their third adorable child. The little girl, whose name Hoffman’s press reps declined to release, was born on Friday night. How do we know? Because when he almost didn’t show up at the sixth annual Celebrity Charades benefit for the LAByrinth Theater Company, of which he is co-director, the announcer apologized: “Philip Seymour Hoffman is going to be very late. Just two nights ago, his family grew a little larger.” Hoffman arrived just in time to lead his team, but afterward admitted he’d been mighty distracted. “I’m a little out of my head. I had a baby two days ago. A little girl,” he said. “Dad duties. Everyday life stuff is pretty overwhelming.”
