Authorities say actor Charlie Sheen has been accused of using a weapon in an alleged case of domestic violence in Aspen.

Sheen spent part of Christmas Day in jail after being arrested at a home in the Colorado ski resort town.

Police spokeswoman Stephanie Dasaro did not provide details on what kind of weapon Sheen is accused of using.

Sheen also was arrested on investigation of second-degree assault, a felony, and criminal mischief, a misdemeanor.

Sheen’s lawyer didn’t return a telephone call Sunday seeking comment.

Sheen hasn’t been charged and was released Friday after posting an $8,500 bond. Prosecutors will determine whether to file charges.

As a 23-year-old svelte blonde larking about on a beach in a plunging swimsuit, Lindsay Lohan doesn’t need to do much to get attention.

But as the troubled actress posed for a photoshoot on a Santa Monica beach recently, onlookers found themselves distracted by the nasty cuts, bruises and scratches on her body.

On her right thigh, it appeared a chunk of Lindsay’s skin has been removed, while a painful red scratch lay beneath it.

She also had another bruise on her left shin and a deep scratch on her right arm.

But despite her many injuries, Lindsay didn’t appeared bothered by them and looked happy.

By the time the photos taken will appear in a magazine, we can safely assume her cuts will be airbrushed out of the photos.

The Mean Girls star also appeared to have applied her fake tan badly and had orange blotches on her arms, feet and bikini line.

Lindsay was getting into the Christmas spirit during the shoot as she posed on the beach wearing a Santa Hat.

In between shots, she relaxed on a deckchair reading the latest gossip on Tiger Wood’s scandal in the latest edition of American magazine Newsweek.

Lindsay spent actual Christmas Day in her native New York with her mum Dina Lohan, brothers Michael Jnr and Dakota and sister Aliana.

The family also celebrated Aliana’s 16th birthday earlier this week.

Pop star PINK has called on her family and friends to “ration” the cigarettes she smokes in a desperate attempt to cut back.

The Trouble and So What singer has already stopped smoking at home and now wants to limit the amount of cigarettes she puffs on when she’s out with pals.

She explains, “Smoking isn’t cute at all… It’s awful. I hate the smell, the taste. I hate everything about it. I’m an asthmatic singing smoker! But, for some reason, I look at it as the last remaining bit of me.

“I’ve definitely cut way back. At night, when I’m out drinking my wine, I’ll have cigarettes rationed to me. But I don’t smoke at home.”

Christina Aguilera got into a scrape with paparazzi during a drive through Hollywood – her car was surrounded by snappers after her driver smashed the front of her luxury vehicle.

The superstar was being driven home through Beverly Hills, California on Tuesday night when her hapless assistant scraped the front bumper of her white Range Rover.

The pursuing paps quickly made the most of the photo opportunity, as the Dirrty singer’s burly security guards helped the star out of her blemished motor and into another car.

But Aguilera seemed to be in cheery Christmas spirit – laughing and smiling while she waited for her rescue party.

No one at the scene complained of any injuries in the minor traffic incident.

The troubled ‘Back to Black’ singer was treated at home by a doctor over the Christmas period as a chest infection coupled with the stress of her recent arrest on suspicion of assault both took their toll.

A source close to Amy, 26, told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “She’s been told to keep a low profile and fully recuperate. She has been feeling very ill of late and had a funny turn at home. She is quite unwell and exhausted over recent events but is soldiering on.”

The singer’s friends have been keen to stress Amy is not back on drugs and isn’t drinking heavily, although work on her comeback album will suffer setbacks as she recuperates.

The source added: “Her new songs are amazing but will be on the back burner until she feels better.”

Amy’s recent arrest – for allegedly attacking a theatre manager at a performance of ‘Cinderella’ in Milton Keynes, England, on December 19 – has led to her being charged with a public order offence and common assault.

She will appear at Milton Keynes Magistrates Court to answer to the charges on January 20.

The source said: “The last week has been a massive setback for Amy, who was really turning a corner. Everyone in her camp is shocked by what has happened.
“The New Year doesn’t look set to get off to a good start, but Amy is determined and she’ll keep looking forward.”

Brittany Murphy’s heartbroken husband yesterday blasted the “crazy” suggestions that the “Clueless” star overdosed or had an eating disorder, insisting he has no idea what killed his 32-year-old wife.

Murphy spent her last night of life noshing on Thai takeout and homemade soup while checking out Oscar contenders from her bed, widower Simon Monjack told People magazine.

He bristled at suggestions Murphy’s cardiac arrest was caused by drugs or an eating disorder.

“These rumors that she was anorexic? It’s crazy — she was slim, but that was her natural physique,” Monjack told the mag.

“This is what’s killing all of us. How did it happen? Her mum, myself and her family — we want to know why we lost our baby.”

Authorities have ruled out foul play, but investigators reportedly found prescription drugs in the actress’ Hollywood Hills home.

Monjack said Murphy — who in the past six months had worked on the films “Abandoned,” “Something Wicked” and “Shrinking Charlotte” — had laryngitis and was taking herbal medications and tea.

“It’s horrible — the death of a beautiful young woman,” he said.

In recent public appearances, Murphy appeared to be gaunt and underfed.

But at the time of her death, the 5-foot-5 Murphy weighed 115 pounds — within parameters of normal weight under federal standards, assistant chief coroner Ed Winter told The Post.

“We are faced with this ridiculous reality that people out there believe she felt, ‘Oh, poor me, I’m fat, I’m thin.’ Brittany didn’t see beauty as a physical thing — which I’m bloody lucky for,” he said.

Murphy Saturday night screened “It’s Complicated,” “Public Enemies” and “The Princess and the Frog” to help her decide how to vote as a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

“She was tired and a little sad because she was sick,” her husband said.

But a leading pain-medication specialist said he was troubled by the amount of pills reportedly found in Murphy’s home.

“I’d be surprised if there weren’t medication-related issues involved in her death,” said Dr. David Kloth, a member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, a group that monitors prescription-drug abuse.

“To be 32 years old and die for no reason — that just doesn’t happen.”
