Gosselin, 32, was snapped with Hailey Glassman, the 23-year-old daughter of the plastic surgeon who performed Kate’s tummy tuck, aboard designer Christian Audigier’s yacht.

Rumor has it that the “Jon and Kate Plus 8” star is working on designing a children’s clothing line for Audigier’s mega-successful Ed Hardy line.

Fans were shocked to see Jon out with a new woman, especially since his wife only filed for divorce weeks ago and the “other-woman” in the scenario was a different 23-year-old mistress – teacher Deanna Hummel.

Jon was snapped with Glassman on Memorial Day weekend, but he downplayed the relationship as being nothing more than a friendship. But the new photos, where he is spotted holding hands and embracing Glassman, suggest much more than friends.

More troubling, Glassman has quite a reputation for being a wild-child. According to a report in Us magazine, the actress was arrested in 2005 for drug possession. Radaronline also obtained photos of her partying hard with bottles of rum and putting a gun to her friend’s head.

One of Farrah Fawcett’s closest friends, Alana Stewart, is publishing a diary she kept as the actress battled cancer and then died last month.

Publisher William Morrow, an imprint of HarperCollins, says “My Journey With Farrah” will be released in August. Some of the proceeds will be donated to the Farrah Fawcett Foundation for cancer research.

Fawcett, the pinup icon and “Charlie’s Angels” star, died June 25 at age 62. Stewart, an actress and former wife of rock star Rod Stewart, has appeared in such films as “Swing Shift” and “Funny Lady.”

Neil Patrick Harris, who won critical acclaim hosting last month’s Tonys, will fill the same role for the prime-time Emmys.

He had been rumored for more than a week to have the job. CBS made it official Monday.

“After having had such a hoot hosting the Tonys, I was thrilled to get the call about the prime-time Emmys,” said Harris, adding that he looks forward to “adding my own voice” to the ceremony: “But which voice to choose? I’m torn between gangsta, foppish Brit, and robot. Really proud of my robot. We’ll see what happens on the night.”

Harris, 36, will also serve as a producer for the CBS broadcast, which will air live Sept. 20 from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

Harris, who begins his fifth season on the CBS comedy “How I Met Your Mother” in the fall, has landed a Golden Globe nomination and two Emmy nominations in his role as womanizing Barney Stinson.

He has appeared on Broadway in “Cabaret” and “Proof,” and won a Web following in Joss Whedon’s zany “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog.” He first gained stardom in the title role of the ABC comedy “Doogie Howser, M.D.” (1989-1993), playing a genius teenage doctor.

Ryan Seacrest is Fox’s 45 Million-Dollar Man.

The “American Idol” host has closed a new three-year deal with “Idol” producer 19 Entertainment, said to be worth $15 million a year.

Under the pact, which is believed to be the richest ever for a reality host, Seacrest is locked in as host of “Idol” through 2012.

Additionally, Seacrest will work with “Idol” creator and 19 principal Simon Fuller on developing new projects.

“Ryan is an essential ingredient to ‘American Idol’s’ success, and I am so happy that we will continue our relationship beyond ‘Idol’ into the future,” Fuller said. “Ryan is without a doubt one of American television’s most talented stars.”

Under the agreement, Seacrest will be exclusive to 19 and parent company CKX in broadcast TV primetime for his hosting services.

Seacrest has a separate cable deal with Comcast and is E! Entertainment’s lead anchor. He also produces such shows as E!’s “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” and ABC’s upcoming Jamie Oliver reality series.

The pact, which had been in the works for the past several weeks, gives Seacrest a gigantic pay raise, more than tripling his previous salary of slightly less than $5 million a season.

With Seacrest’s renegotiation out of the way, the “Idol” producers will focus on securing the show’s judges for the near future.

Uber-judge Simon Cowell has made statements that he might leave the singing competition when his contract is up at the end of next season. The British media has pegged his salary demands for staying on the show at more than $100 million a year.

Paula Abdul and Kara DioGuardi, whose contracts are up, have said they hope to close deals to return next season.

Randy Jackson has one more season under his current deal.

Although the ratings for the reality juggernaut have slipped in the past couple of years, “Idol” remains the highest-rated series on television by a mile and is a windfall for its producers.

A source close to Simpson confirms they broke up the night before her 29th birthday July 10. She was supposed to celebrate with a Ken and Barbie-themed party. (On Simpson’s birthday, Romo spent the night at Los Angeles hot spot My House.)

“She canceled her party because of this,” the source said. “She’s doing OK.”

“Barbie party didn’t happen, but I turned 29 and feel like I am on top of the world yelling I LOVE GETTING OLDER!” she wrote on her Twitter page Saturday.

Later, she wrote: “Everyone needs to know that hope floats…grab the strings and pull it back to you… Falling asleep with my mom and the dogs. Please, Lord, give all of my beautiful fans, friends, enemies, and family rest. Bring all of us peace.”

A close friend of Romo’s talked about the split: “It’s been a long time coming.”

Still, another source said the volatile couple could always get back together. “They go from one fight right into another, without a second break,” the source said. “It’s always something with Jessica.”

Simpson’s rep had no comment.

Simpson - who turned 29 July 10 - began dating Romo, 29, in November 2007 — around the two-year anniversary of her split with Nick Lachey (who, incidentally, recently split with his girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo).

Simpson said she was watching a Cowboys game with her family when a segment on the quarterback aired, during which he said Simpson was his celebrity dream crush.

“My family was like, ‘Did you just hear that?’” Simpson told the June 2008 issue of Glamour. “His picture came up, and I’m like, ‘He’s really cute.’ Then I heard [that I was his crush], and I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh!’”

They later met after a pal introduced Romo to her dad, Joe. Simpson said she and Romo then began flirting “over e-mail and on the phone.”

On their first date, Simpson told Glamour, “I had butterflies that you would not imagine. I wanted to puke in the cup holder … It took me forever to put together an outfit!”

He tried to kiss her on their first date. “I was taken aback….

“The fact that this guy, on our first date, in the first 10 minutes of dinner, wanted to lean over the table and say, ‘This is my girl, and I want to kiss her’ — our first kiss in front of everybody — was awesome,” she recalled to Glamour.

During their relationship, Simpson credited Romo with helping her change as a person.

“He reintroduced me to myself,” Simpson told Glamour. “I thought that I had to be deeper, more profound and more artsy. You change with the guys you date.”

“Tony taught me that because he loves me [as me]. He made me feel comfortable [being myself] again,” she said.

(She even dedicated the tune “You’re My Sunday” to the football star while recently touring.)

Despite professing her love for Romo, their relationship underwent its share of scrutiny.

Last year Simpson was nicknamed “Yoko Romo” by Cowboys fans who thought she was bad luck to Romo’s football performance. Appearing on the Late Show With David Letterman, she even joked that she’ll never again wear her pink No.9 jersey to games.

Simpson - who the subject of much debate after she showed off a fuller figure earlier this year - told this June’s Vanity Fair that they didn’t let the criticism get to them.

“We don’t let it affect our relationship,” she said. “If we did, we wouldn’t be together, because it happened at the very beginning. Dating the Cowboys quarterback comes with hype, the fans, the bloggers, but I’ve never dated a guy that was more simple. I’m always there for him after a game, and he knows he has me to come home to.”

Jennifer Aniston stepped off an elevator Saturday and became one of the hottest reporters at the Daily News.
Well, kinda …

Aniston - along with a film crew and an enthusiastic cadre of extras - were shooting scenes for the upcoming action comedy “The Bounty.”

The former “Friends” star plays a hard-nosed New York reporter who gets arrested while investigating a story.

Instead of making a scheduled court appearance she doggedly pursues her lead, and her ex-hubby - played by Scotsman Gerard Butler - is the bail bondsman charged with hunting her down.

The petite stunner looked right at home as she strode down the halls, past the framed photos of The News’ Pulitzer Prize-winning writers.

Dressed in a white sleeveless blouse, gray miniskirt and high heels, she ducked into the ladies’ room for a powwow with a colleague before heading into the newsroom.

The movie is directed by Andy Tennant (”Hitch,” “Sweet Home Alabama”) and also stars “Saturday Night Live’s” Jason Sudeikis as a Daily News reporter with a crush on Aniston.

In between takes, Aniston laughed with techs and wardrobe aides and snacked on thinly peeled string cheese.

The extras delighted in the behind-the-scenes peek at the Daily News, and marveled at the framed front pages.

“It’s exciting, seeing everything on the wall. Normally it’s a contrived set,” actress Michelle DiBenedetti said.

Actors were issued laminated Daily News ID cards as props. “I hope they let us keep them,” extra Julie Stone said.
“It’d be a great souvenir.”

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may be looking to buy in Manhattan.

We hear the star couple has been quietly checking out the Apthorp, the century-old upper West Side landmark that’s undergoing a condo conversion.

Until now, Pitt and Jolie have rented when they’ve come to town. Recently, while Angie’s been shooting “Salt,” the Brangelina brood has divided its time between the Waldorf Towers and Rupert Murdoch’s Rosehearty estate on the North Shore (where Rupe reportedly has been charging them $100,000 a month).

But the fortress-like luxury of Apthorp is apparently making the Pitt-Jolies consider settling down here.

“The gated courtyard means they can get in and out of their car without being hassled by paparazzi,” says a source. “The building also has several other exits.”

The Pitt-Jolies are said to be thinking about putting together three units in the building. “I heard they’re ready to spend as much as $25 million,” says a source.

That could buy them a lot of space, considering Douglas Elliman has slashed prices from $3,000 per square foot to as low as $1,500. (The most expensive unit - 6,197 square feet - sells for $15.5 million.)

Pitt, who is something of an architectural historian, is bound to be beguiled by the handwrought period details of the residence, built in 1908 by the Astor family. Some apartments are as large as 13 rooms and boast 11-foot ceilings and 44-inch-wide hallways. And restoration-minded buyers can customize the raw space to their liking.

What’s more, the Apthorp has long been celebrity-friendly. Nora Ephron and Cyndi Lauper are among those who rented before the condo offering. Among those who’ve checked out the conversion have been actors Alec Baldwin, Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, and Knick David Lee and his model-girlfriend Sabina Gadecki.

The globetrotting Pitt-Jolies already have grand homes in L.A. and New Orleans but could be attracted, like a lot of Hollywood wanderers, by New York’s private schools.

Buying in the Apthorp does come with some uncertainty. Prudential Douglas Elliman must sell 25 of the available 32 units so that the owner’s offering plan can continue to operate for another year. A Douglas Elliman rep says that there are currently 12 to 15 units “in negotiation.” But - who knows? - maybe Brad and Angie will decide to buy up the rest.

As we reported in May, the squeaky-clean “Partridge Family” star, now 75, was interested in doing a Playboy spread. But after the magazine’s snappers recently took 300 test shots in which Jones showed her cleavage and legs in an 18th-century French-boudoir setting, Hugh Hefner “passed on them because he expected much more nudity,” her husband/manager, Marty In gels, told us. “Shirley said, ‘Under no circumstances will I show more.’ And I agree with her. I mean, come on!” A Playboy rep didn’t get back to us.
