Reports have been running rampant that a “financially-strapped” Lindsay Lohan has been spending all of Samantha Ronson’s hard-earned dollars, but according to insiders Ronson only earns the big bucks she does because of her romance with the high-profile actress.

Tarts has been told that prior to her relationship with Lohan, Ronson was lucky to earn $5000 a night but since dating the starlet her rate has doubled and even gone up again a little more in recent times. But it gets better — apparently these days it is often written in to Ronson’s contract for certain bookings that if she brings her girlfriend to the gig she pulls around $25,000. So is Lohan the main reason Ronson is who she is and earns what she earns anyway?

“A few years ago it was the same thing with AM, he earned more when he brought (then-girlfriend) Nicole Richie,” said an insider. “But he’s a very talented DJ and has since built a career of his own.”

A rep for Ronson did not respond for comment.

So while Lind’s career in front of the camera may not exactly be running hot right now, the 22-year-old’s business ventures are going strong even despite the depressing economy and her well, occasional wild ways. According to West Hollywood boutique Kitson, her leggings line 6126 has been literally running out the door since its launch in July last year and that is with most consumers not even realizing LiLo is behind the brand.

We’ve also confirmed she’s already designing for the upcoming season — the party princess even gave up her Monday afternoon to give her showroom and buyers at Los Angeles Market Week a sneak peak as she desperately wants to make it big in the business world.

Miss Lohan also just inked an exclusive deal with cosmetics giant Sephora to release a tanning mist “Seven Nyne” which will hit the stores nationwide May 1st.

“Lindsay is determined to be on her best behavior and is working extra hard,” added a source close to the starlet. “She has been told if she steps out of line even a little her deals will be screwed and she obviously doesn’t want that to happen.”

American Idol champ David Cook has a clear message for his wannabe groupies: back off.

Cook, who is currently on tour, issued a plea for privacy via his MySpace Celebrity blog under the title “Attention.”

“The efforts by some fans to find our hotel rooms, call our hotel rooms, attach things to our bus, etc., is something I have to condemn,” Cook writes.
While the rocker appreciates his adoring fans and says “the vibe at these shows has been amazing,” he also wants to “enjoy what little privacy we can muster.”

“This relationship only works when it remains healthy for both parties,” he says, “and should this behavior continue, the only thing we can do is take more preventative measures to maintain our privacy, which in turn makes us less accessible to you.”

Cook is currently making his way through the South.

His next stop is Campbell University in North Carolina.

Anthony Bourdain is stirring up more trouble with Rachael Ray.

The Travel Channel’s “No Reservations” chef mocked Ray yet again in a recent Facebook blog after the smoky-voiced talk show host booked one of his favorite bands for her party at the SXSW music fest.

“On a completely off-subject note, I read something really disturbing while leafing through a magazine in my most recent airport,” Bourdain scribed in a note entitled “How Can I Miss You When You Won’t Go Away?” “Rachael Ray, it appears, when booking acts for her South By Southwest indie rock-meets-Sloppy Joes fest, invited the New York Dolls to perform. THE NEW YORK DOLLS!! It is an article of faith with me that the Dolls were one of the greatest, most important, criminally neglected, wildly influential bands in the history of well … the freakin’ UNIVERSE!!”

Bourdain has never been a huge fan of Ray’s — he’s called her a “bobblehead” and “freakazoid” in the past — but if his Facebook page is any indication, he may be changing his mind soon.

He writes, “This development … following hot on the heels of Rachael saying nice things about me on ‘Nightline’ [she told interviewer Cynthia McFadden that she “absolutely loves” Bourdain and has “an enormous amount of respect” for him] has caused me no small amount of confusion, panic and misery. I don’t know whether to go out and shoot a puppy, or send Rachael a fruit basket. It just does me no good at all to think of Rachael as a Dolls fan. It’s really only a matter of time now until my daughter looks up from her grilled cheese and says ‘Yummo!!’”

However, we hear that Rachael’s response to Anthony’s ramblings was to have a basket of fruit delivered to his home on Monday. Even sweeter was the accompanying note, which asked Bourdain to please refrain from shooting any pups.

Although Bourdain’s rep claims to have no knowledge of said basket, Ray’s publicist Charlie Dougiello says, “With regard to Tony’s blog comments, Rachael has enormous respect for Tony and hopes he can make it down to SXSW next year. And while Rachael knows he would never hurt an animal, she’s still hoping he can send some fruit, too.”

BRUCE Willis, 54, and his new wife, Emma Heming, 30, didn’t meet through friends, as his pals have insisted in fact, the superstar actor hand-picked her as a perfect stranger.

An impeccable source tells Page Six: “During the casting of ‘Perfect Stranger’ [the suspense movie Willis made with Halle Berry two years ago], Bruce was very involved with the casting. In fact, you could say he was extremely involved no matter how minor the role.”

At Willis’ request, calls were placed to modeling agencies to fill the roles of extras and minor speaking parts.

Our casting source said, “He personally went through head shots and when the girls were called in to ‘read,’ he was there in the meeting. It was odd for the star of a movie to do so, but at the time he was single and I guess he needed a date.”

The casting sessions/blind dates went well enough. “He started dating [model] Tamara Feldman, with whom he coincidentally enough had a sex scene,” our insider said.

Then, Heming was selected for a small speaking part. Willis “started dating both Tamara and Emma but obviously, Emma eventually won out,” the source said.

All’s well that ends well. Willis and Heming who has dated numerous Hollywood types, including John Stamos and Brent Bolthouse, plus Italian playboy Flavio Briatore got married last weekend at his home in Parrot Cay in Turks and Caicos. Madonna, Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher and Willis’ three daughters attended.

Heming, a British citizen who was born in Malta, has modeled for Victoria’s Secret and landed on Maxim magazine’s Top 100 hottest babes list in 2005 at No. 86.

NATASHA Richardson had some final gifts to bestow before her family sorrowfully pulled the plug on the actress last week. Sources say her husband, Liam Neeson, her mother, Vanessa Redgrave, and other members of the family agreed that Natasha who was brain-dead from a fall on a ski slope two days earlier should donate her organs to waiting transplant patients. “Doctors spent six hours harvesting all her organs,” said our source. “Some patient is going to wake up in the recovery room and start reciting Shakespeare.” A family spokesman said, “We have no information on that.”
