Gwyneth Paltrow has given another shallow interview this time to British Elle Magazine and this time she says she can’t wait to smoke again because she loved them so much according to OK!.

“I miss it. The last cigarette I smoked was the day I found out I was pregnant with Apple. I had to sit down and smoke one final cigarette. It’s such a beautiful thing. I’m so p**sed off it gives you cancer. Cigarettes were my upper, they were my downer. I would think with them, write with them. I just love them so much.

“But then, once you have children, if you’ve witnessed a death like I did with my father, you just can’t.

“But I’ve decided that when I’m about 70 I’m going to start smoking again. Why not? I can’t wait!’”

I love how she says she had to have one final cigarette after she found out she was pregnant with Apple.

That is one of the saddest things I have heard some one say. So sad. In the same interview she declares she is a good person…what and ever.

Back in 1979 when Simon Cowell was just 19 years old he went his family to Antigua and he met 9 year old Melissa Zimmelstern whose family took pictures of them. Flash forward 30 years, she shared her photos and her time with then poor Simon with The Sun! OMG! I am so glad she shared the pictures with him because they are priceless. Michael Phelps wasn’t totally taken by surprise when the News of the World published a photo of him using what appears to be a bong at a party at the University of South Carolina last November.

According to a source close to the photo deal, Phelps, like many celebrities before him, attempted to get the photo off the market, but he was quite obviously unsuccessful.

“There was an effort to purchase it, there was even talk of him writing a sports column as well for a period of time to in exchange for not running it,” the source said. “But the News obviously knew what it had on its hands. They weren’t going to play ball.”

Reps for Phelps didn’t comment.

It’s not that John Mayer isn’t that into Jennifer Aniston — he’s just too busy for her.

The rocker, who was caught on a business date with a beautiful blond last week at Marix Tex Mex restaurant in Santa Monica, was back with Aniston at a private Super Bowl bash in Calabasas, Calif., on Sunday. And while that may signal another “on” phase for the on-again/off-again couple, pals say Mayer is way too busy for a serious relationship with Aniston, and instead wants to focus on himself.

“John’s goal is to keep a low profile this year, and Jen is about as far off from low-profile as you can get,” a source tells us. “He just wants to keep out of the spotlight and finally concentrate on his music.”

Mayer is working on an album tentatively titled “Battle Studies,” a followup to 2006’s “Continuum.” “He’s always in and out of the studio,” a second insider reveals. “That’s his focus.”

In addition to his music, Mayer is in talks to film a sketch-comedy show for CBS. “It’s more of a variety show that will resemble VH1’s ‘John Mayer Has a TV Show,’?” says the snitch. “That’s where his bear skit was born, so think along those lines. Combine a bunch of funny shorts, and you’ll have the show.”
And what about Aniston, whose flick “He’s Just Not That Into You” opens Friday? Insiders say she’s sick of her inconsistent relationship with Mayer.

“He keeps her in limbo,” the snitch reports. “She and John see each other and sleep with each other, but are they getting ready to walk down the aisle? No. Jennifer knows that. But at the same time, no girl wants to spend every night alone. She needs to accept the title of her new movie to be the title of her life.”
Mayer’s rep says, “We do not comment on John’s personal life.”

If things don’t work out with Mayer, Aniston has a second singing suitor waiting in the wings: “Rock of Love” bad boy Bret Michaels.

“Bret is really crushing on Jen,” a pal of Michaels confides. “He says she’s the kind of girl you can have a good time with, but can still take home to Mom.”
While we think Michaels could rock Jen’s love, a Mayer pal says: “Jen can date whoever she pleases, but she should keep in mind that John’s tour bus is so much better than Bret’s!”

TWO of the pretty stars of the MTV reality series “The City” are horrified because producers are pressuring them to get into a hair-pulling, claws-bared catfight to boost the show’s ratings.

It’s no secret that MTV producers stage (or as they say, “reshoot”) some scenes in their “reality” shows such as the Los Angeles-based “The Hills.”

But according to an insider on the Manhattan-based “The City,” they’re taking it to another level with stars Olivia Palermo and Whitney Port, who both “work” in public relations for Diane von Furstenberg.

“MTV wanted the girls to get into a physical fight at the DVF office,” said our source. “Olivia was very disturbed by the request . . . The girls were both really uncomfortable.”

The source added that Port and Palermo both threatened to walk off the set if they were forced to participate in a fight scene.

“Even though people think their jobs at DVF aren’t real, both girls are really excited to be working in the fashion world, and wouldn’t want to be seen getting into a fight in a professional setting,” the source said.

“MTV responded to the protests by turning the ‘fight’ scene into an altercation at work, in which Olivia gets upset at Whitney’s boyfriend Jay [Lyon] for showing up to a fund-raiser underdressed” - although, in fact, our insider says, “Olivia could care less about what Jay is wearing.

“It’s very hard for her because the show wants to portray her as mean and bitchy, and she just wants to be herself,” our source said. “It’s been really tough for her, but she can’t quit because she’s under contract.”

MTV said, “On Friday we shot with Whitney and Olivia at DVF, during which time no physical altercation took place. We would never encourage our talent to engage in that type of negative behavior.”

Palermo’s rep said, “Of course the show is edited to heighten the entertainment value.”
