Black Eyed Peas member apl.de.ap (real name: Allan Pineda Lindo) is mourning the death of his brother.

Joven Pineda Deala, 21, was gunned down in the northern Philippine town of Porac, Pampanga, a rep for the Peas confirms to Usmagazine.com.

The Philippines Inquirer reports that Deala was shot in the head by an unidentified gunman while sitting in his car outside his girlfriend’s home at 1 a.m. Tuesday.

Police have not found the suspect nor released a motive for the killing, but press reports claim he may have part of a love triangle.

Apl, 34, was raised in the Philippines before being adopted by an American and moving to the U.S — where he started the Peas with will.i.am. He’s expected to travel to his brother’s wake and burial in the Philippines.

Nicole Kidman and Cate Blanchett are among four Oscar-winning Australian actors who have been immortalised onto postage stamps in their home country.

Russell Crowe and Geoffrey Rush have also been honoured after the foursome were named legends of the year by the post office.

The special edition Australian stamps will make for essential movie memorabilia and can be bought online.

Each of the film stars gets two stamps - showing them both in and out of character.

Kidman is pictured in a scene from Moulin Rouge, Crowe’s stamp shows him in Gladiator, Rush’s is taken from Shine and Cate Blanchett’s from Elizabeth: The Golden Age.

The four Australian Academy Award winners have each received a 24-carat gold replica of the stamps and all were thrilled to be selected.

Kidman said: ‘Something like this - when you see your face on a stamp - says “wow”.’

The star added that she was excited her children would one day be able to ‘lick a stamp, put it on an envelope and say “that’s my mum.”‘

Blanchett said being selected to appear on stamp took ‘my breath away.’

‘I am utterly, deeply, humbled and chuffed by the fact I’m on a stamp,’ she said.

Crowe, who won his Oscar as Maximus in Gladiator, attended a special ceremony on Australia’s national holiday to mark the creation of the stamps.

He took to the stage alongside Blanchett and Geoffrey Rush, who said he felt that the stamps ‘can actually be a celebration of us’.

The Shine star noted he had grown up in the 1950s and 60s when ‘the only person on a stamp was the Queen.’

‘It’s a classy thing to know you’re on security paper,’ he said.

The Australian Post started its Australian Legend award in 1997 when cricketer Don Bradman was chosen.

The Oscar-winners were selected this year for their ‘outstanding contribution’ to entertainment and culture in Australia.

Kidman was awarded an Oscar in 2002 for her role in The Hours, while Blanchett received an Academy Award in 2005 for the Aviator.

Australia’s Prime Minister Kevin Rudd added: ‘The creative ability of Cate Blanchett, Russell Crowe, Nicole Kidman and Geoffrey Rush has already been widely celebrated here in Australia and around the globe.

‘It is a rare tribute to be asked to appear on one of our nation’s postage stamps.’

Sean Combs was supposed to co-host a birthday party for DJ Clue at club M2 on West 28th Street Monday night with Kobe Bryant after the historic Knicks/Lakers game in which Bryant scored 61 points.

But nobody warned Combs that the New York Police Department had an undercover gun detail searching guests as they came into the club. “Everyone wanted to make sure that the dozens of NBA stars in attendance, including Lamar Odom, Vince Carter and Pau Gasol, would be safe,” the insider said.

When Diddy arrived at 1:45 a.m. with a six-man entourage, a witness said he “flipped out” when cops asked to search him and his friends. “He went nuts, saying, ‘Why are you disrespecting me like this? Why are you doing this to me?’ During the commotion, one of his guys slipped away, unsearched, back to the car.”

Combs “stormed off and started to text DJ Clue asking, ‘What the [bleep] is going on?’ and asked if he could go in the back entrance.” When told that the cops would have to search him and his friends there as well, Combs decided not to attend the party. His rep had no comment.

Combs has had issues in the past with hidden weapons and cops. In 1999, while he was dating Jennifer Lopez, a member of his entourage opened fire in a nightclub. A stolen pistol was found in one of Combs’ SUVs, but he was acquitted of gun-possession charges.

A rep for M2 - which is hosting a party for Will Ferrell’s Broadway show “You’re Welcome, America. A Final Night With George W. Bush” tomorrow - said, “We always welcome the police to safeguard our patrons.”

At least Bryant was happy to be patted down and stayed until 4 a.m. “He was in the VIP area, where there were strict orders not to let any women in near him,” we’re told. On his way out, Bryant (who drank water), after ordering two bottles of champagne for his pals, left the waitresses a $2,000 tip.

You know that Gwyneth Paltrow’s husband, Chris Martin, is nominated for a bunch of Grammys this Sunday with his group Coldplay. Their song, “Viva La Vida,” is tipped to win big as is the album it comes from.

But Martin and his bandmates may be looking over their shoulders this Grammy weekend. The reason is that a lawyer representing musician Joe Satriani is sending teams of process servers all over town to hand them a plagiarism lawsuit.

Now, don’t shoot the messenger here: Satriani is claiming that Coldplay lifted his 2004 instrumental, “I Just Wanna Fly,” for the basic melody of “Viva La Vida.” Coldplay disputes this, and has issued a rebuke on their website.

But that hasn’t stopped Satriani or his attorney Howard King of King Paterno et al. The firm claims that Coldplay has dodged being served, and that the Grammys are the easiest forum at which to strike while the iron is hot.

King says, “We have warned their British lawyers that we have hired a fleet of process servers lined up to dog the band everywhere they go this weekend in the hopes of serving them.”

King even promises to have camera crews roaming around with the process servers to get the whole thing on tape.

What’s Coldplay’s way out of this mess? Maybe the easiest thing would be to just accept service and let a court decide what happened with “Viva La Vida.”

Insiders tell Life & Style that two reality-show stars will be joining the cast of Dancing with the Stars: reality star Denise Richards and Jackass wild man Steve-O.

Life & Style has learned exclusively that Denise, 37, star of Denise Richards: It’s Complicated, has already been prepping for her TV dancing debut. “She’s super excited and has lost a few pounds to tone up and get in shape,” an insider tells Life & Style. “She’s ready and thinks she can go all the way!”

The London-born Steve-O (real name Stephen Glover), 34, became famous on the Jackass TV show (there were also two Jackass movies), which ran from 2000 to 2002. He specialized in stunts that involved gruesome forms of self-injury — experience that could be helpful for Steve-O if he’s paired with an aggressive partner!

Tom Cruise looked abs-olutely buff in Brazil on Tuesday.

“He’s been working out, and he’s in great shape!” a Cruise pal recently told Us Weekly. “He’s ripped.”

Another adds that the 46-year-old actor — who is in South America promoting Valkyrie — “has been working with a personal trainer, because he is getting in shape for a new movie.”

The source denies speculation that Cruise may have had work done.

“I don’t believe he’s gotten any plastic surgery,” says the source. “Whenever he’s preparing for a role, he goes hard-core intense.”
