SI Swimsuit Issue cover girl Bar Refaeli paid a visit to the Ed Sullivan Theater on Wednesday (February 11, 2009) wearing a very stylish silk dress.
The 23-year-old Israeli supermodel was interviewed by David Letterman about her family background, her modeling career, her recent photo shoot with Sports Illustrated and her boyfriend Leonardo DiCaprio.
After the interview was over, Bar headed to a party before boarding an airplane covered with her picture, which was revealed earlier in the day at LaGuardia Airport in New York.

Just because you’re on the VIP guest list doesn’t mean you’ll be always be given the royal rundown of Hollywood - a lesson Kim Kardashian and Avril Lavigne learned the hard way at the Cash Money Records Party for Lil Wayne on Saturday night.
New Beverly Hills hotel, The Montage, wasn’t quite equipped to handle the chaotic crowds and according to eyewitness, a riot pretty much broke out when the rapper arrived and head of security at the top-notch property called in the cops for fear of someone getting severely injured.

Those lucky enough to get inside had the pleasure of watching Paris Hilton dance to Lil Wayne and Kevin Rudolph’s performance well into the early hours and schmooze with the likes of Russell Simmons, Timbaland and TI. While Cash Money thought the soiree was a huge success, inside snitches told Tarts that the hotel was pretty peeved by the bad behavior that went on …
But staff members weren’t alone in their anger, we’re told Kim Kardashian was refused entry as the venue was at capacity and even waited around for quite a while before finally giving up in a huff. Avril Lavigne was also omitted, but instead was pretty cool about having to peace out without being able to party.

She’s gone from pageants to “Passions” to porn and it seems Kelli McCarty has finally found her favorite career. The former Miss USA of 1991 (who also played the role of Beth Wallace on the NBC soap “Passions” for seven years as well as a recurring role in the Disney Channel series “Even Stevens”) has shed her sash sister image by releasing a (very) adult film, “Faithless” with Vivid Entertainment.
“I enjoy acting, and I really like sex, so this was the perfect opportunity to combine two of my passions,” McCarty told Tarts. “It was a pretty easy transition, I think mainstream television is definitely starting to merge with the adult world anyway - it’s all about sex and nudity, and I’ve been pretending to have love scenes on ‘Passions’ for years anyway.”
While the on-screen adjustment wasn’t too much of a sweat for McCarty, she was shocked at how the men in her personal life have suddenly changed their tune.

“These are guys that I’ve known for a long time that are a suddenly putting it out there, they think because I have sex on television I must want to do it with them, too. Its really creepy and disturbing, being an adult film star does not automatically put you into the slut category,” McCarty said. “Maybe you’d expect that from people you don’t know, but this is coming from guys I considered friends. Weird.”
Despite that small downside, the Kansas native said her family is particularly supportive of her racy new role and exposing so much for the lights and camera has actually been a blessing.
“It’s such an accomplishment, I co-wrote the script and had it in my contract that I was to have a lot of power and control in the production which I never had in the mainstream,” McCarty added. “I’m happy that I can be out there talking openly about it, I’m so proud that I could make this happen.”
McCarty’s starring role in “Faithless” marks the first time a former Miss USA (let alone a well-known television actress) has made the leap into the adult entertainment arena and according to Vivid co-chairman Steven Hirsch, her performance as a cheating wife is that of a “natural porn star.”
“As it turns out, by any standard, Kelli’s performance in “Faithless” is incredibly erotic. She smolders sex from every pore of her body,” said Hirsch.
The 39-year-old starlet isn’t sure if she’ll make another XXX film as she has a sitcom, reality show and book deal bubbling in the works, but that doesn’t mean she won’t be stripping off again sometime very soon.
“The men’s magazines have all been calling. I’m not sure what one I’m going to do yet but I’ll definitely pose, I love that stuff,” she added.

WHILE Madonna has been busy squiring “baby” Jesus Luz around town - they dined at Macelleria Wednesday night - reporters in Brazil have been looking into the 22-year-old model’s recent past. According to newspaper colum nist Monica Bergamo, “Luz was dividing his time between two girlfriends before he encoun tered Madonna for a pictorial in W magazine. Every week he would stay with one or the other.” Asked for an inter view, Krishna Siqueira, one of his exes, demanded payment. Jesus, a fan of electronic music, was a regular at four different discos in Rio de Janeiro, where he lived with his mother, a beautician in an Ipa nema salon. One of his mother’s clients was a fashion execu tive who put him into model ing. Luz, a member of the Orkut social networking site, writes in his profile: “It is not important what the others think about us. The most important is what and whom [sic] we are. I have a clear con science even if I am con- demned. We cannot forget that Jesus was condemned.” Luz now calls the US home and has joined Kabbalah.

“Everybody wants him on to explain why he was smoking marijuana,” said a source. “Oprah Winfrey, ABC, CBS, NBC - everyone wants him.” While there were rumors that Phelps was asking $1 million for the interview - perhaps to compensate for the cash he lost when Kellogg’s dropped him as a spokesman after the scandal - the source said, “No money is being talked about.” But we wonder why Phelps wouldn’t give the interview to NBC, which carried the Olympics, promoted him and made him a star.
