Penelope Cruz looked gorgeous in a midnight blue mermaid style with a sweetheart neck and a ribbon corseted waistline. Fitting her figure in all the right places, this star knows how to work understated and elegant better than most.

Amanda Bynes also chose a beautiful color, but a way too tight style, looking like a teen queen in a skin tight silhouette.

The Oscars have decided in order to build interest for this year’s Awards show they are going to keep who is presenting top secret according to  The NewYork Daily News.  Hey you want to get people to watch, how about nominating movies people have seen and the real movie goer wants to root for? If they think that keeping it secret that they are going to have same old people present the Awards is going to build interest, they are sadly mistaken. If they want viewers, tell us that Hugh Jackman will do the show topless or will remove a piece of clothing as each half hour goes on!!! If the latter is the case, than hopefully the show will go long!!!

Jackie Chan as Mr Miyagi?

Jackie Chan is very close to teaching Jaden Smith how to wax on wax off in the new Karate Kid movie according to The Hollywood Reporter. While I think his casting is a good move, I stilll think the movie is a bad idea. It doesn’t really sound like the original, so I just don’t understand why they don’t just do it as a karate movie instead of clinging on to the Karate Kid name.

Victoria Beckham needs to dump Marc Jacobs and only do Armani if that is how the ads are going to turn out. They are so much better than those wacky and weird Marc Jacob ones. Posh Spice has always said she doesn’t like her body in the nude, so I wondered what they did to convince her to do an underwear ad…besides the promise of photoshoppoing

Madge Lourdes works a miracle

Jan 15, 2009 Author: showbiznews.info | Filed under: Celebrity News, Showbiz News, Madonna, Celebrity Photos, Celebrity Gossip

What was Guy Ritchie doing in ex-wife’s Madonna’s NYC apartment Tuesday? Apparently, trying to get along with her Madgesty for the sake of the kids.
“Madonna and Guy aren’t reconciling,” a source close to the couple tells us. “They’re working very hard to have an amicable divorce, because [Madonna’s daughter] Lourdes came to them begging, ‘Please don’t be mean to each other.’ Then she told them she wanted everything to be as friendly as possible.”
It looks like the 14-year-old’s sage advice worked.

“Madge and Guy are getting along better than they have in over a year,” an insider tells us. “Their separation has had a positive effect on their relationship as parents.”

So Ritchie, in town filming scenes for his “Sherlock Holmes” flick, paid a visit to Madonna’s pad and hung with their kids, Rocco and David.

It also seems like Madonna’s fellow kabbalah disciples are playing a part in keeping the peace.

“Kabbalah doesn’t encourage divorce,” says a pal of Madonna’s. “So her friends in the religion are pushing for them to reunite or, at the very least, maintain a solid friendship.”

Meanwhile, tabloid reports of Madge and her rumored paramour, Alex Rodriguez, are still swirling — but a source says that when the cat’s way, A-Rod will play.

“Alex is a horny dog,” a friend of the Yankee slugger tells us. “While Madonna is away, he isn’t going to just put on her records and look at her pictures and be satisfied. They’re both into playing games and making each other jealous. Madonna loves a good mind game, and she plays them well.”
Fingers crossed that Madge and Guy can keep up the civility for the benefit of their brood. Then maybe they won’t be the butt of jokes like Sacha Baron Cohen’s Golden Globes zinger: “This recession is affecting everyone. Madonna had to get rid of one of her personal assistants. … Our thoughts go out to you, Guy Ritchie.” Ouch!

Michael Moore Misuses Photo

Jan 15, 2009 Author: showbiznews.info | Filed under: Celebrity News, Showbiz News, Celebrity Photos, Celebrity Gossip

MICHAEL Moore may wind up in court with a prize-winning journalist who claims the mountain-size moviemaker ripped off his most famous photo to use in a George W. Bush-bashing rant.

Last year, to illustrate one of his anti-administration bombasts, the portly polemicist posted on his michaelmoore.com Web site a heartbreaking photo from Iraq of an American soldier carrying the blood-spattered body of a child. The picture was snapped by acclaimed independent war correspondent Michael Yon, who has been very careful about how his images are distributed and goes out of his way to make sure they aren’t used for demagogic diatribes.

Yon - a Special Forces vet who posts regular dispatches from the front at michaelyon-online.com - is considered by many as the “Ernie Pyle of our time.”

Yon has tried to contact Moore for seven months to discuss his unauthorized use of the poignant snap, but hasn’t heard a word back from the director of “Fahrenheit 9/11.” Now, the fed-up photojournalist has told his lawyer to ready a lawsuit against Moore for copyright infringement.

The misappropriated photo shows US Army Maj. Mark Bieger cradling an Iraqi girl wounded by car-bomb shrapnel. She died a short time later.

“The implication on Moore’s Web site was that our soldiers were somehow responsible for that kid being wounded,” Yon’s lawyer, John Mason, told Page Six. “That is absolutely not true. She was the victim of an insurgent’s car bomb.” Yon said: “I’ve never sued anyone in my life. It looks like Mr. Moore might be the first.” Page Six e-mailed Moore for his response, but he didn’t get back to us, either.

The picture was voted by Time readers as the top photo of 2005. Bruce Willis has said he hopes to produce a movie based on Yon’s experiences with the Deuce Four unit.
