She has no intention of growing old gracefully - or in comfort, it seems.

Madonna strapped, wrapped and laced herself into a very improbable outfit to promote her 11th studio album, Hard Candy.

The all-white ensemble, with bandages at chest and wrist, was probably meant to appear sexy or tough.

But the singer ended up looking as though she’d sustained several injuries and was in serious danger of collecting a few more.

Her boots had such high heels that even she would have struggled to perform a jig - and if she had, those knickers definitely wouldn’t have stayed put.

Judging by the sour look on her face, she was regretting the whole idea.

Still, Madonna’s body remains in remarkable shape for 50, thanks to her punishing workouts and diet.

The Kabbalah enthusiast obviously has no intention of taking a rest after her recent divorce from Guy Ritchie.

And her hard work is paying off, as it was recently reported that the lavish Sticky and Sweet show, based around the Hard Candy album, was the highest-earning tour of 2008, taking £193million worldwide.

Since splitting from Guy last summer, Madonna has spent most of the time living in New York.

Over the weekend, the Material Girl was spotted with all three of her children, Lourdes, Rocco and David, attending Kabbalah services in Manhattan.

Wearing a hooded jacket to protect her from the New York winter chill, Madonna carried David out of the centre, followed by Lourdes and Rocco.

Last week, her ex Guy was also spotted in the Big Apple, where he has been filming his upcoming Sherlock Holmes movie.

Meanwhile, a nude photograph of Madonna taken before she was famous is expected to sell for up to £10,000 at auction next month.

The image was taken 1979 when Madonna was a dancer struggling to make ends meet in New York.

Madonna posed for American photographer Lee Friedlander after answering an advert in the paper.

The explicit photo will go up for auction at Christie’s next month.

Madge’s current obsession, Brazilian male model Jesus Luz, 21 - whom she met on the South American wing of her Sticky & Sweet tour - is putting all of his eggs into the Material Mom’s basket and using her name and the resulting publicity to demand huge prices and build his career.

Brazilian spies told Glamurama.com.br, “All the modeling agencies came after him, but he chose Ford Models because [photographer and Madonna pal] Steven Klein had a talk with Katie Ford and convinced her that Jesus is, in fact, holy material.”

Sergio Mattos, the owner of 40 Graus Models and Luz’s former agent, says that after meeting Madonna, Jesus simply disappeared: “He stopped answering his phone, his mother quit her job . . . But I wish him the best. And now I have a new Jesus,” Mattos, who just signed a contract with Spanish model Jesus Perez, told the Web site. “This is a much better Jesus, and he’s not a fan of Madonna’s.”

Luz might be overestimating the value of his association with Madonna. “He was asking for some $135,000 a show. He did the same job last year for a mere $225,” said a Brazilian source. “A lot of people are contacting him but because he keeps raising his rates, they are changing their minds.”

Luz was supposed to fly to London last week to meet with Madonna, but “he had problems with his passport,” the insider said. “He didn’t even have a passport until like a month ago.”

When told he wouldn’t be allowed on the flight. he “went to party with some friends at Bar Secreto in Sao Paolo instead. A lot of girls were trying to get his attention, but he ignored them and just drank the Veuve Clicquot the bar owner sent over for him.”

Luz is expected to get his passport issues solved by tomorrow when he’ll fly to meet Madonna in London for his 22nd birthday.

Last week, Penn called José Miguel Vivanco, head of Human Rights Watch’s Latin America division, and asked for a meeting. Brody Jenner may be known as a Hollywood hunk with a habit of club-hopping and playing the field, but those days are over, he says – now that he’s dating Playboy’s 2008 Playmate of the Year, Jayde Nicole.

“We’re completely smitten for each other,” Jenner, 25, said. “I’m loving life.”

The couple, who’ve known each other (through one of Jenner’s exes) for more than two years, had a bit of a false start when Jenner asked Nicole, 22, to meet him at a San Diego club, where he was hosting an event, and she didn’t show up.

“I was totally heartbroken,” he says. “I was very upset because I had a crush on her.”

Now, they’re a couple and Jenner attributes their success to knowing each other for so long. “The reason why I love this girl so much is because she knows me,” he says. “She gets it … She knows my background.”

Traveled Together
Making time to travel, the pair have visited St. Thomas, Hawaii and the Bahamas. “She’s a great travel partner,” he says.

Back in L.A., the Bromance star says they’re more likely to stay at home than hit the clubs. “We stay in, maybe bake cookies,” he says. “It sounds kind of lame, I know – sorry, boys! – but we bake some cookies, watch DVDs and have nice quality home time.”

“It’s a change in my life, but it’s a good change,” Jenner says.

And it’s not the only one. Jenner said, “[For the New Year], I completely quit drinking and I’ve been working out every day and eating the healthiest I’ve ever eaten my entire life.”

Inspired by his girlfriend – “She’s in amazing, amazing shape,” he boasts – Jenner says he feels “incredible,” doesn’t think about alcohol and doesn’t want to drink again. “But I have to on Feb. 19,” he says. “It’s my lady’s birthday.”

What else does he have planned? “I want to do something very special for her,” he says, after getting the perfect Christmas gift from her: a custom surfboard, emblazoned with a photo from her Playmate of the Year spread and the Playboy Bunny logo.

“She’s naked but it’s very artistic,” Jenner says. “It’s black and white. It looks incredible.”

President-elect Barack Obama admits that he’s a bit nervous about his first day on the job.

“I’m sure I’ll have trouble sleeping the night before,” Obama tells Katie Couric, in one of his last interviews before becoming President of the United States, for a CBS News primetime special.

He adds: “[There] has been so much work on the front end that I feel Jan. 21 is not going to feel that different from Jan. 19. But having said that, I think when you’re sitting in the Oval Office, you’re very clear that these decisions count. The magnitude of it is humbling.’

In addition to the tough road ahead, what else is he nervous about at the outdoor swearing-in ceremony?

The temperature: “I get cold very easily,” Obama jokes. “So making sure I’ve got my long underwear [just] in case.”

He plans to enlist the help of family during the transition, including his wife’s mother, Marian Robinson, who will be moving into the White House with the Obama clan.

“[We] get along great,” he says of his mother-in-law. “In fact, she defends me when Michelle is too hard on me. So I want her there. She’s an ally. She can be a little bit of a buffer if I screw up.”

The special, Change and Challenge: The Inauguration of Barack Obama, will air Jan. 20 at 9 p.m. EST on CBS. It will include interviews with civil rights leaders and friends of Obama. Couric will anchor the hour-long show from the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C., which is where the Commander-in-Chief’s Ball is set to take place.

The Canadian model-turned-actress-turned-author nearly flashed a bit too much of her gravity-defying curves as she frolicked on the beach with the latest man in her life.

Wearing a loose-fitting brown bikini, the 41-year-old wrestled in the sand with her hat-wearing lover.

The blonde bombshell was spotted topping up her tan on a Malibu beach, just a short walk from her beachside home.

After play fighting with her new beau, Pamela strode along the beach, appearing unaware her ill-fitting bikini bottoms were slipping down her derrière.

Pamela has been spotted on the beach with her mystery man several times last week, and introduced him to celebrity pal Matthew McConaughey when they bumped into each other one afternoon.

It looks like the mother-of-two may have found love again after three failed marriage.

Pamela split from Rick Saloman - most famous as Paris Hilton’s co-star in her infamous sex tape - in December 2007, after just nine weeks of marriage.

She was also married to rap/rocker Kid Rock for four months in 2006 and Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee for three years in the late Nineties.

After making her Playboy debut in 1989 after being discovered on a TV screen while attending a Canadian football game, Pamela is hoping to appear in the men’s magazine for the 14th time this year.

Pamela reminded Playboy boss Hugh Hefner of her assets in April when she presented him with his birthday cake while completely naked at his 82nd bash.

Pamela will next be seen on screen in the comedy Hollywood & Wine, alongside Shoot Me comedian David Space.
