Jimmy Kimmel and ex Sarah Silverman — back on?

Over the weekend, they held hands at a Thai karaoke bar in Hollywood. After seeing photographers, Kimmel began to walk backwards and covered his face as Silverman smiled and walked forward.

But a rep downplays any romance, telling Usmagazine.com: “They remain close friends.”

Silverman even thanked Kimmel when she picked up her award at the Creative Arts Emmys for the satirical music video “I’m F—— Matt Damon” earlier this month.

“Thanks to the person for whom this whole video was made: Jimmy Kimmel, who broke my heart – ohh, who’ll always have a place in my heart,” Silverman said.

Kimmel and Silverman split in July after five years of dating.

The break up was mutual, a source told Us at the time.
