From the sound of it, it’s might be time for Kevin Federline to start paying his own bills. Part of Federline’s current arrangement with his ex-wife Britney Spears stipulates that his legal fees — which includes $500,000 he owes to his attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan — be paid by Spears.
Her attorney, Stacy Phillips, argues that Federline can contribute, and offered the example of Federline leaving a $2,000 tip on a recent $365 dining tab as evidence.
“Kevin is a good guy,†said a source who knows Federline, “and I don’t think he’s taken advantage of Britney, but he isn’t as squeaky clean as he’d have you believe. He still lives a pretty extravagant lifestyle for a guy who doesn’t make much money on his own.â€
A judge will rule on the case, but in the meantime, Federline isn’t too worried. Said the source, “He knows he’s maintained a fairly good image throughout this, and at the end of the day, he isn’t under nearly the same microscope as Britney.â€
