Lily Allen reportedly checked herself into a residential clinic for treatment of depression. Although the singer’s rep has yet to confirm the report, a friend told the Sun Lily suffered from extreme depression since her miscarriage and subsequent break up with boyfriend Ed Simons in January.

“She was so happy to be pregnant and was willing to give up her showbiz life to settle down and have a family,”a pal told The Sun. “Her miscarriage was a huge blow and she hasn’t really recovered.”

Despite being treated as an in-patient, Lily is allowed to leave the facility to see friends and tape her BBC3 chat show.
